chapter 2

Gajeel

He woke up to a tiny paw hitting his face, "Gajeel, its time to wake up," Lily said.

"Oi, what time is it?" He groaned sitting up.

"It's time to go," Lily said jumping off the bed.

Oh Yea, we're going on a job with Levy, Gajeel thought excitedly. He was happy to be going out on a job with her, ever since he met her he thought she was special.

He got up and threw some cloths in a bag and left to the train station with Pantherlily.

Just as they put their stuff in the baggage cart Levy came dragging a huge bag stuffed so it was almost popping open.

"Hey shrimp why is your luggage bigger than you?" he laughed.

"I thought we may need some books on dark guilds and kidnappings," she looked disappointedly at him.

He walked over and grabbed her stuff then put it in the luggage cart with his.

"I could have taken that!" she said with her face all scrunched up. Which he thought was adorable.

"It would have taken you ten years," he teased her.

The whistle blew and they all boarded the train, once it started Gajeel felt his stomach turn and his head got dizzy.

Levy looked worridly at him, Lily mouthed "motion sickness," but her worried look didn't change.

Finally he managed to fall asleep leaning on the window and the train ride went by fast. By the time they got off the train it was dark, and a limo was waiting for them.

"Who put up the ad?" Levy said shocked by the limo.

"I don't know," he answered just as surprised.

They arrived at a mansion forty minutes later.

"This place is huge!" Levy said admiring the fountain in the front.

"Snow is waiting for you," the driver said opening the front door.

They walked in, Gajeel carrying both of their bags, Levy's bag was surprisingly heavy. When a girl with long blonde hair ran up and hugged Lily.

"Is this a talking cat?" she asked sweetly, smiling at Lily.

"Yes I am," he said to her.

"My brother's cat use to talk!!" she hugged him again. "Oh I'm so sorry that was sudden," she put him down. "My name is Snow I put the ad up," she smiled, "you must be the famous Iron Gajeel."

"I am, this is Levy McGarden and Pantherlily," he said shaking her hand.

"Wow you're so pretty," she shook Levy's hand smiling.

"Oh thank you," she smiled back.

I'm happy I'm not the only one who noticed, he thought.

"Follow me you must be starving from your long trip!" she skipped into the other room and they followed her.

She sat them at a long table and they ate steak and salad, which they enjoyed.

"So do you know who took your brother?" Lily asked eating his steak.

"The dark guild Serpent Slave, the guild master is a powerful mage named Roy. He's pure evil, he killed my older sister and brother, I only have him left and I can't save him." she teared up a little, "he was in an accident and almost died, thats why he's in a wheel chair."

"That's horrible," Levy gasped.

"Why would they take him?" Pantherlily asked.

"Because they want his magic," Snow said.

Gajeel finished his steak and looked from Snow to Lily, then at Levy. She looked scared, and he didn't like that.

"What kind of magic is so important to kidnap someone over?" she asked with sadness in her voice.

"He's a dragon slayer, like you, Gajeel," Snow answered looking at him.

"He's a dragon slayer?" he said surprised.

Any dragon slayer would be able to beat whoever kidnapped them. He must be weaker because of the wheel chair, Gajeel thought sadly.

Snow nodded. "Its my fault too, I don't let him fight, I'm scared he's to weak to fight! I don't want him to get hurt..."

Levy laughed, "dragon slayers at our guild are stubborn, they're a lot stronger than you'd think," she smiled.

"It's hard to hurt us," Gajeel said staring at the iron silver wear considering eating it.

"What kind of mage is Roy?" Lily asked.

Snow thought for a moment, Gajeel noticed she was pretty, but not nearly as pretty as Levy.

"He's strong that's all I know, I've fought him before but I blacked out, next thing I knew my brother and sister were dead and I was covered in their blood..."

"Interesting..." Lily said.

"So we gotta beat this guy up and get your brother back right?" Gajeel asked excited for a challenging fight.

Snow nodded, "it's getting late, I'll show you to your rooms for the night," Snow got up.

Gajeel, Lily, and Levy followed her up stairs to their rooms. Gajeel and Lily shared while Levy was across the hallway.

Gajeel laid in their bed while Lily curled up behind him. "Are you nervous about tomorrow?" he asked.

"I don't know, I feel like Snow is hiding something," Lily said.

Gajeel agreed, thinking about Levy. If Lily didn't trust Snow he didn't want Levy being near her. For some reason how Snow treats her brother reminded him of how he treats Levy, he wants her to be strong but he doesn't want her to risk getting hurt. After he hurt her that one time he promised himself he wouldn't let anyone hurt her.

Tired and stressed Gajeel made himself go to sleep.

Sorry this wasn't a very good chapter, it was harder than I thought to write from Gajeel's point of view, especially typing on my phone is hard. I hope you enjoyed it though :) I'd love to hear some opinions though ~ thank you:)
