Gajeel

He was restless, it was night he should be sleeping right? But he can't! Thoughts about Levy keep racing in his mind.

He paced back and forth in his room worrying about her. She had fainted, just a few minutes after finally waking up.

She said she loved me... The thought irritated him and he kicked his suitcase over.

"Dammit," he said putting his head on the wall.

He'd hurt her, he'd almost killed her twice, yet she said she loved him.

Why wasn't he happy she loved him? Her loved her too, he should be rejoicing!

But he knew better than that, or he thought he did at least, she couldn't love him it was impossible. Why would she love someone who hurt her so badly?

He had to see her and see how she was doing. He walked quickly though the hall to her room and quietly opened the door. Good she's still sleeping, he thought and pulled up a chair next to her bed.

He noticed how her face was bruised and her chest slowly rising and falling. He could hear how difficult her breathing was.

What have I done? The recurring thought raced through his mind drowning him in guilt.

"Gajeel..." she softly said in her sleep.

He grabbed her hand and began to cry as quiet as possible so he wouldn't wake her up.

"I'm sorry, Levy," he said through his tears.

Her head turned to face him and she opened her eyes. "Gajeel? What are you doing?" she asked softly.

He froze when she looked at him and he made himself stop crying.

But it was to late she already noticed. "Why are you crying?" she asked with worry in her voice and eyes.

He couldn't tell her, he couldnt even look in those big beautiful brown eyes of hers. Without thinking he let go of her hand and quickly left the room without saying a word.

Levy

I sat up and rubbed my head, was Gajeel just here?

It could have been her imagination since she was just dreaming about him.

"Why would he just leave without saying a word to me?" I asked myself.

"It must have been my imagination," I tried to convince myself, but it didn't work.

The door opened and I looked, hoping it was Gajeel, but to my disappointment it was Damien.

"You okay?" he asked. "I saw Gajeel rushing out of the hall way and thought maybe you were hurting or something," he shrugged and rubbed his head awkwardly.

"I'm okay," I said, when I noticed my head wasn't hurting anymore. "Actually my head doesn't hurt anymore."

"That's good," he smiled and pulled up next to the chair Gajeel was sitting in before. "Can I check your wound?" he asked.

"Oh Yea," I laid down and pulled the blanket off my chest.

He pulled my shirt up, but left it covering my breasts, and pulled off the bloody wrapping.

"Let me clean it," He picked up the bucket of water next to my bed and pulled out a sponge.

He softly dabbed my wound with the sponge, I had to bite my lips to keep myself from screaming in pain as the water washed away the blood.

A few minutes later he put medicine on it then wrapped it with fresh bandages.

"Does it still hurt?" he asked.

I nodded trying not to cry at the stinging pain.

He softly put his hand on top of my wound and I yelped in agony.

"Sorry I was just feeling your rib," he pulled his hand away quickly. "Its defiantly cracked."

I nodded again biting my lip.

When that was finally finished he made me drink some water and eat a little bit of bread.

"Get some more rest okay?" he said opening to door to leave.

I nodded as he smiled and left the room leaving me alone, all alone.
