patty

i walked out of my history class, sighing as some jock bumped my shoulder, "watch it loser!" he grumbled and walked away. okay then, sorry my shoulder was in you way.

i walk to the cafeteria, ready to see my friends- oh wait! i don't have any. well, that's me. loner girl.

i sit down on an empty bench, placing my bag on the table, and putting out a book called 'the maze runner'. it's a good book, not gonna lie.

i was so into the book, then suddenly, some guy knocked my book down, my eyes shot up to him, "oops, sorry patty, or should i say, fatty!" he snickers. i hate my name. i know it's really patricia, but when i was still happy, i introduced myself as patty instead of patricia.

the words hit me like a brick, it crushes my heart and i try not to let the tears fall, so i look down. "you are so ugly, like, look at you!" the girl next to the jock snickers as they walk away.

suddenly, i felt someone pick up the book and place it on the table, and sit with me. i look up to see a boy with green eyes and crazy brownish blonde hair that looks like he just dyes it so technically it was dirty blonde. i haven't seen him around before. he must be new.

"i-is it okay if i sit with y-you?" he stutters, smiling slightly. i smile a bit and nod, "are you new?" i shyly ask, he shakes his head, "i've been here for two years." he chuckles and i blush in embarrassment, "sorry." i say.

"it's alright, i'm a loner too anyway." he says and i nod. "y-you know, you shouldn't listen to them. i think you're beautiful." he stammers. i smile, "thank you." i say, blushing.

"w-what's your name?" he asks. "my name's patricia smith. what about you?" i ask.

"my name's michael clifford, and i'm a loner." he says proudly.

"that makes two of us." i grin.
