When Barry Allen was 11, his mother was murdered right in front of him by an unknown force. Nobody ever believed him. Not the cops, FBI or even his friends and family. Only his dad, who was locked up in Iron Heights being convicted for a crime he didn't commit. Barry had moved in with his best friend Iris and her father Joe. Her father was the cop that put his father in jail. Therefore, he kept trying to run to free his dad. He was always caught and it got so bad at one point that Joe had to get the whole unit to find Barry. He usually got locked in the house afterwards. He didn't really enjoy it because he had claustrophobia but never told anyone. When he was 13, bullies had locked him in a locker, a closed environment. He went in to an anxiety attack and went unconscious. The bullies were afraid of what had happened and ran, leaving Barry in the locker. He was stuck in there for 6 hours before the CCPD unit had found him. Joe and Iris rarely let him leave their sight after that. He never went near cages or anything that looked like one. Then he became the Flash....
