This took me days to write, literally. But I hope you enjoy anyway. There are several grammar mistakes and what not, but hopefully you can forgive me. Here is Chapter Five:)

Chapter 5

“Do all men receive such an intimate greeting from you?” an unfamiliar husky voice asked.

Patrisha looked up into the eyes of the man that held her arms at this very moment. His deep blue eyes held some sort of mystery in them that kept Patrisha entranced.

“I take that silence as conformation. That’s saddens me. I was hoping you just fell for me so fast you couldn’t catch yourself.” He taunted with a slight smirk.

Patrisha’s mouth formed a slight ‘o’ of surprise because of his forwardness.

“But I guess you are one of those women, who will fall for and on anyone.” He continued while lifting his hand to caress her chin.

Patrisha pushed off the man with an unfounded power as rage lit her eyes to the point where they resembled fire.  “Oh no sir, I could never be one of those women.” Patrisha replied while putting a bitter emphasis on word ‘those’.

“Because just the thought of sharing my time, with a man like you, makes me sick to my stomach.” She spat.

“And what kind of man thinks that just because he is privileged,” she said gesturing towards eccentric tonic “He can have any woman he wants. Trust me when I say this. I. Can’t. Be. Bought. So please remove your image from my sight.” She finished not noticing that every word she stated, she got a closer to the stranger. It got to the point where there were only inches in between the two.

Patrisha saw surprise twinkle in his ocean blue eyes and if she wasn’t so enraged she would have smirked in accomplishment. But he soon let out a deep chuckle that filled the hall. And Patrisha was surprised to find that his laugh held humor.

She felt his breath tickle her nose and shift her eyelashes. That was when she noticed how close they had gotten. She quickly tried to distance herself from him, but his hands attached to both of her arms firmly. But for some reason the action sent shivers down Patrisha’s spine, but he seemed to have not noticed.

“No one.” He spoke while staring deep into her eyes. “And I mean no one has ever been so direct with their distaste of me.” He let a soft chuckle escape his lips. “I don’t know whether to cast you out or keep you.” He said simply but Patrisha felt that it held much deeper meaning.

With a burst of strength she once again got away from him, only to turn around confront him once more.

“Why do you mention me like I am some sort of property that can just be discarded?  And who are you to do so?” Patrisha asked trying to control her rage. “I was invited here by the Prince himself, and no one can dismiss me from this castle but him” She huffed.

He wore a knowing smirk that seemed to deflect any insult or rebellious banter she flung at him. And Patrisha was tired of it so, she turned away once again searching for the exit.

She then realized that she had no clue where to start looking.

“Ah” the stranger sighed as he leaned against the wall. “It seems that you’re lost, correct?” The man commented still wearing that smirk that annoyed Patrisha to no end.

Patrisha ignored him going to the first of the many limitless doors and hallways of the main hall of the castle and peering down it.

“I could be of great help.” He said in a teasing tone while watching her peek down yet another hallway.
