Pride- A Drarry/Malec crossover

Chapter 8

"Draco, it's Lucius. He's escaped!"

The colour drained from Draco's face.

"Wha- how... how do you know?" He stuttered

"I received an owl from him just 5 minutes ago. I came to you as soon as I had read it. He wants to kill us, Draco..." with this Narcissa broke down, flinging herself into her son while sobs echoed through her body.

"Let's get out of here." Muttered Harry. "Go to the telephone box. I'll take Magnus and Alec." He told Draco. He had no doubts that the blonde knew where he was on about.

Harry turned to the other two men.

"Come with me."

Alec had never felt anything like it! Apperation was definitely a method of traveling he never wanted to try again.

"You get used to it eventually." Harry joked, seeing the look on the youngest's face.

There was a pop beside them, and Draco and Narcissa appeared. Without words, they stepped into the crowded phone booth and Harry got to work about getting them all into the Ministry of Magic.

He typed in the code (62442) and calmly stated:

"Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy, Narcissa Black, and two guests."

5 badges popped out of the machine and Harry handed them out.

"Hang on tight." He warned.

The booth suddenly shot down and came to a stop outside a large reception type area.

Stepping out they heard a voice.

"Harry? Good to see you my boy! What brings you here today? Come to finally accept that Auror job?" Standing before the group was a lively looking man.

"Hi Arthur not today I'm afraid. I wouldn't wait on it either. Do you know where Kingsley is, by any chance?" Asked Harry.

"Oh um yes I do! He was in his office when I passed by a minute ago to speak to Ron. I don't imagine he's gone very far. Well, I have to go. Got work to do and all that. I'll see you again soon, no doubt?"

"Well. We're in a bit of a predicament at the moment but I'll make sure to write. Tell everyone I said hello!"

"Will do. You might want to help out your friends there, by the way." Mr. Weasley laughed, before turning and walking away.

Harry turned back to the group only to find Draco and Narciassa holding back laughs while Rita Skeeta attacked Magnus and Alec.

"Who are you? How long have you known the famous Harry Potter? What is your relationship to him?" Floating beside her a quill was scratching away at a notepad.

"Alright Rita you've had your fun now skidoodle." Interrupted Harry.

"Ooh get this dear readers: Harry Potter is here in the Ministry of Magic for the first time this month. Why is he here? Has his hero complex come back as he accepts the offer of head Aurora..."

As Rita stalked away, a camera flashed before zooming after her.

"Did she say you were famous?" Alec asked, confused (and slightly blinded by the flash).

"Wha? Oh, yeah. I kinda defeated a dark lord when I was a baby and got him for good a couple of years ago. It's no big deal though. Most people leave me alone now. Except Rita, obviously." Harry sighed.

"No big deal! How many times Harry of course it's a big deal you saved the entire wizarding world and survived the killing curse not once but twice! I think that's a bit of a deal, at least." Draco chided Harry. He hated it when Harry brushed off a feat that every other powerful wizard would have struggled to do, even when they were fully grown.

"Oh wow! Well eer, well done, I suppose..." Alec said, before turning to Magnus.

"Looks like Jace has some competition." He laughed.

Hey!

So, I actually updated when I said I would! yay :)

I know this chappie's a bit short again but I have plans for the next chapter that should be a bit longer. Plus it's getting a bit late to be writing and I wanted to update tonight like I said I would :)

I wasn't planning for this to turn into a drama/adventure-y type story but it looks lime it's going to so I guess I can only give it a shot :)

Next update some time soon although not sure when...
