(A/N*" This story has nothing to do with anything I've written... so I'm not going to continue on with this story. The picture above is again my picture I drew, but NOT my idea... in other words, you could find this online, but this is my style and drew based on the picture... Warning this story probably does not make any sense. I wrote this based on Kaz's POV, speaking to you as if this is your first time in Ketterdam (etc.) As well as my version to the start of the/a book. Yeah good luck, I make no sense "*)

Welcome to Ketterdam better known as Aliquando Monstrorum Civitatem

(The City Of Monsters)

Where you have a 30% chance of escaping out alive. With each step, you take, getting further and further into the city. You've felt like you have been there for eternity, only to realize you have only been there for a few seconds. The further and further you travel into the city, you'd feel like your pockets are getting lighter and lighter as they have been pick-pocketed by the very ghosts that live in the shadows of your nightmares. Each step you take you'd feel like you're sinking from the very weight of your own guilt, humility, hatred, sorrow, fear, and failure.

This is what most people feel like here in Ketterdam. Either you feel like this. Or you'll turn out to be one of the very monstrous inhuman creature, slowly creeping around the dark corners of a small child's bedroom with a limp in your step along with a cane gently banging on the floor as you walk. Waiting for the children to fall asleep before you attack their dreams turning them into nightmares, slowly making them suffer in fear of the things their parents did.

The only person you must fear in this city of monsters is the monster with the longest claws and the sharpest teeth. The only monsters that every person should fear and run away from are the ones who can survive the everyday life of living in Kerch, Ketterdam. The monsters with promises burning within deep inside their chest's, the only thing that keeps them going. When they have nothing left to lose. The monsters who make themselves believe they are monsters and nothing else, letting no one come close, as their armor is held up against them for their own protection, not letting anyone get past the shield of strength and power. One of though's monsters you'll fear is me.

It was a quiet snowy night here in Ketterdam, usually, the Barrel was full of drunk crazy people, either past out on the streets or getting into stupid nonsense arguments, or at the Crow Club partying or what-not, but not today? Was I missing something? Why is the city near dead?

So I decided to take a walk down to the richer end of the city, to do my own investigating. Although it was a quiet night, it was also chilly as it was mid-winter. Even making me shiver a bit, but the cold most of all does a number on my bad leg. As I continued to limp silently down the icy roads, bored with nothing else to do other than to snoop around, with my costume made Crow Cane.
I allowed myself to look around through some of the merchant's mansions to see if I can spot any easy picking of jewelry, or anything valuable, to steal, as the petty thief I am. But I couldn't spot anything worth my interest, not even the overprotective merchants counting their most prized possession, money. After an hour of lurking around outside in the cold, I decided to call it a night and started to head back to the slat, to rest.
