Chapter 8.

--------------

Richtofen's POV:

These women must have been fed mad lies! Their beliefs on the past wars were completely fictional, yet their body language suggested they believed it to their grave. Holly's eyes sparked with confusion, and her mouth hung open in disbelief. Tessa had a brow raised at me, as though questioning if I was insane, which I am, but that's beside the point. Then, her soft feature twisted into a look of realization, and her head jerked towards Holly. "I told you the government was lying!!" She yelled, throwing her hands up. Holly rolled her eyes, "Ok, ok, you were right. The government lied to everyone." She muttered. "What...?" Tank spat, raising a brow at them. Holly met his eyes, "Since we were young, the government has told us strictly that The Great War was the biggest war known to man. We were told millions died fighting, and very few survived anywhere." "Zhat is not true, frau. Ve vere zhere." Both their mouths dropped. "What?!" Holly screeched, her high-pitched voice ringing annoyingly in my ears. I groaned, rolling my eyes at her. She reminded me too much of Dempsey. "Ja, frau. Ve vere zhere vhen zhey first attack zhe battlefield in France." Tessa cocked her brow, "In 1918?" She asked in disbelief. "Yep." Dempsey said, nodding. I scowled at him, annoyed that he was speaking to my woman. Tessa noted my annoyance, and cleared her throat loudly, demanding everyone's attention. "Let's deal with this in the morning. It's 2 in the morning, and I have a blueprint I have to finish for work tomorrow." Holly nodded, hugged her, and returning to Dempsey's side. I rolled my eyes as Tessa began up the stairs. I followed, watching her figure sway as she walked. It was intoxicating, and I began to feel my trousers grow tight as we made our way to towards her room. I closed the door behind us. This was going to be a long night.

Tank's POV:

She seemed lost for words as she cuddled closer to me on the small couch. Her delicate hands moved to the hem of my shirt, tugging in a quiet demand for it to be removed. I complied, sitting up and pulling her to lay under me, head resting on the pillow. Blue eyes watched me as I slipped off the tight shirt, revealing my bare chest. Holly's eyes widened as she lifted her fingers to me, tracing to scars on my abdomen. They stopped on a rather large one, faded from years of age. "How...?" She murmured, eyes locked on the shiny sliver of skin. "A couple years back, one of the meat bags took a swipe at my chest. Thanks to Richtofen, I wasn't infected though." She was quiet a moment, then wrapped her arms around my neck, pulling my head onto her body. Her heart was racing in her chest, and her hands stroked my head, as though comforting me. I wrapped my arms around her slim waist, and pressed my nose into her stomach, breathing in her scent. Fruity sweet today, like strawberries and cream. Soon, her soft breathes of sleep returned. I squeezed her closer, happy that she was safe.
