         Katerina been staying with her granddad she enjoying the serenity of the place for the last few months waiting for winter break to start so she could be with Sirius. Josef had been corresponding with Sirius by letters and been planning a special occasion for Katey for this winter break he couldn't wait to see how happy Katey will be. Katerina busy decorating the mansion she found old family albums she saw her mom and Aunt Nadia when they were kids and she thought about returning the mansion to spirit of Christmas past. She went to finding items and decorating the mansion she even went overboard but when Josef came in he was in awe of it she said "Too much, Granddad?" he said "No, it's perfect Katey". He went and hugged her tears in his eyes over her hard work she said "Granddad what's the matter?" he looked at her he said "Your grandmother Amara would be happy for giving me this because she loved decorating the home to perfection, with her passing I never thought it be shining and glimmering again, Katey I think you found your passion" she said "What, this? This was nothing I just looked at pictures and put it together" he said "Katey, many do Ministry of Magic jobs but you can do event planning because this is you Katey you can do this".

         Katerina awakened to sounds of people talking she came down the stairs to seeing Aunt Nadia with Granddad Josef she said "Aunt Nadia?" she said "Katey, you've grown since the last I saw you" she hugged her. Josef said "I was telling Aunt Nadia that you were the one that decorated the whole home" Aunt Nadia said "I'm impressed, you have a knack for this a real gift" she said "Well, all I did was look at old pictures from when you and mom were kids and recreate it" she said "Well, speaking of your mom is she coming?" she said "Last I saw her she was cleaning house that was couple months ago" she said "Oh, poor big sis I wanted to see her but I figured she wanted her space" Josef said "Tatia, will come I'm sure of it" Nadia said "Papa, you think so?" Katerina read his mind she said "So am I". Katerina walking with Aunt Nadia she said "Katey, you're so much like your mother I'm sorry I wasn't around you as much as I wished to be" she said "It's not your fault Aunt Nadia, I know my dad was the reason." She took her hands she said "Katey, you can't help loving people that make other's mad at you" she said "You fell in love with a muggle and my dad didn't care for me to be around you as if you were a disease but I never knew till recently he was in the wrong". Nadia had tears form in her eyes she said "Katey, the only thing to come from that horrible man was you and you are not him" she said "I'm finding that out myself as well, I'm my own person and I love myself". 

         Katerina woke up next day to sounds of snow hitting the ground she went and dressed to go outside when she ran into Aunt Nadia and Uncle Jason with Vivian and Kate they were in the living room watching the snow falling Vivian said "Katey, you're up come build a snowman with us" Kate said "Katey, please" she looked at Aunt Nadia she said "Go ahead, we can get the food ready". Outside in the snow Katerina helping with Kate and Vivian build a snowman and then snow angels in the midst of it Sirius Black stood there watching her with the two girls he realized she would be a great mom one day and he will make sure of that. Katerina laughing when she saw Sirius she smiled he walked up he said "What are we doing?" Vivian said "Were building snowman now snow angels, want to come join us?" Sirius said "Sure" he went to make snow angels he taking lessons on making one allowing Vivian walk him through it Katerina was falling deeper in love with him. All said and done they enjoyed Christmas together with her family Josef spoke to Sirius alone with Tatia Katerina tried to read their minds but Kate and Vivian had her preoccupied when Sirius walked back in he said "Katerina, up for a stroll?" she said "Sure". Walking through the gardens she saw a lovely view everything so majestic with icicles hanging so glistering-like he said "Isn't it lovely" she said "Breathtaking" he said "I know you love winter, including snow and I had spoke to Josef about this and he arranged all this" she said "You did this for me, why?" he said "You are everything I've been looking for in a family and I don't want to lose that in this dark cruel world" she realized what he's about to do without reading his mind. He got down on one knee he said "Katerina Nerida Renoir will you marry me?" she keeping the tears back she said "Yes, yes Sirius" he got up and kissed her as it started to snow again. Vivian and Kate worried that Katey would get snowed on Nadia said "Katey, will be okay" Katerina and Sirius walked inside smiling and tracking in snow Vivian said "No fair, Katey is tracking in snow" John said "Vivian, let's go get cookies from the kitchen, Kate you too" the two girls left the room for the adults to talk Josef and Tatia came to the couple she showed off the ring to them turns out Sirius was given Amara's ring from Josef to give to Katerina as he believes Katerina is every bit like her and knows she's in good hands.
