It only takes one shattering moment. . .

"I need your report." A storm trooper prods one of the citizens impatiently.
"Nothing to report!" The man says, the pitch in his voice rising. His fingers play with the ends of his jacket. He looks around nervously as the storm trooper lifts his weapon.
"Are you sure about that?" He leans towards the guy who starts to shake. Ready to pull the trigger of the blaster. The man–not wanting a huge hole in his chest–ends up spilling everything.
"Okay! There's talk of a small underground base of city rebels. They plan on trying to take down a ship!"
        The stormtrooper lowers his weapon.
        "Anything else?" He questions.
"No-no sir!"  The man stutters. He didn't have to call him sir. Too panicky to realize that this is a not some ordinary being. This is a soldier, a programmed soldier.
"Good, no one will know of this." The man nods frantically.
The storm trooper seems to be listening to his communicator, probably one of his superiors.
        "Yes, sir!"
The storm trooper turns as if to leave before turning around and shooting the man in the head.
"Orders." He says, listening to the communicator again. He looks around the area for anyone listening. Finds no one and reports.
"No one is here, sir." He checks one final time before leaving the area.
Unaware that I was listening closely on the rooftop with a curious smile on my face. I lean back against the wall with my hands behind my head staring up at the night sky.
