My thoughts were cut off when I heard a noise and i looked at the grass there was something moving. I turned on my flashlight and walked over to whatever was moving.
"Awww hi baby !" i said as i saw a baby squirrel walking around. He looked at me and i put my hand out and he climbed on my hand. "Aww your so cute." I said and he looked at me.
"I'm gonna name you Alfonso." i said and he squeaked at me. I shined my flashlight into the tree and there was no sign of any other squirrel. "Awww your alone." I said
I decided to bring him inside. He looked like he was a couple weeks old. I looked up how to tell the age of a squirrel i found out that he's around 7 weeks old.
I gave him some peanuts, strawberries, and carrots. He liked it a lot. "Dude your so cute." I said and he looked at me. He ate his food and climbed up my arm and sat on my shoulder.
Wishbone came into the kitchen and started barking which brought in Hazey and Kiggy. Alfonso jumped off my shoulder and onto Hazels back and then on the floor. All the animals seemed to like her.
I decided him up to my room. I put down some paper and Alfonso went to the bathroom and he walked to me and jumped on my bed. I got a towel and wrapped him in it and he fell asleep.
I laid at the back of my bed and put him next to me. Soon enough i fell asleep.
Morning:
"Holy shit !!" "How the hell did that get in here!" SOMEONE GET IT !!" I heard yelling from down stairs. Oh shit Alfonso is gone !
I ran downstairs and I saw Alfonso running around and the guys with sticks and brooms. "Stop !!!" i yelled and they looked at me.
"There's a goddamn squirrel in the house !" Dom yelled. I started laughing and walked over to Alfonso and he jumped on my hand and i put him on my shoulder.
The guys looked confused. "This is my pet. His name is Alfonso and i found him outside with no other squirrel at 3 this morning." I said and Kian walked over to me.
"Alfonso ?" Kian asked and i nodded.
"He's 7 weeks old and he likes peanuts and strawberries and carrots." i said.
"You can't keep a wild animal in our house." Kian said and i looked at him. "But Justin stays here." i said and Jc laughed.
"Sam your not seriously going to keep a baby squirrel here are you ?" Jc asked me and i nodded. "He's my baby. He loves me." i said. "Wishboner loves him too. " I said and put Alfonso next to Wishbone and Wishbone barked and Alfonso jumped on top of him.
"See they love each other." I said. "Sam, baby girl, you can't keep a wild animal in here." Dom said. "But i love him." i said and picked him up.
"Sam go put him outside." Jc said and i rolled my eyes. I walked outside and put Alfonso in the grass where i found him. I went to walk away and he followed me.
I put him on the porch in the chair and went inside and got him some food, then went and gave it to him then went back inside.
"No one talk to me. I'm mad at you guys." I said and walked to get my phone. "Awww don't be mad." Jc said and i looked away. "No. You made me give up my new friend." I said and Kian smiled.
Kian walked up behind me and hugged me. God i love him. "I'm hungry." I said and Dom got up. "To IHOP !" he yelled and we all piled into the car.

We were now at IHOP and that's when I saw him. My childhood best friend/ first boyfriend. His name was Zach. We stopped talking because my father found out that i talked to him about what was happening to me.
Long story short, my dad beat him too. I wish he wasn't here. Not here right now. We passed him and me and Zach made eye contact and i immediately looked away.
"Hey what can i get you guys ?" Zach said and i grabbed Kian's hand under the table. "Ill take a coke." Dom said. "Sweet tea." Jc said. "Water." Kian said and Zach looked at me. "And for you Sam ?" He said and i sighed. "Water." i said almost inaudible.
Damn you Zach. i thought to myself as the guys glanced at me. He came back with our drinks and when he gave me mine I saw the marks my dad left on him and I tensed up and squeezed Kian's hand which caused him to look up.
"What can i get you guys to eat." He said and smiled at me. "I'm sorry.. I.. I can't." i said and got up and ran out of the restaurant.
I don't think i can handle being in the same room as him after my dad beat him and cut him. I can't do it. It's my fault that happened to him. I-
My thoughts were cut off by someone saying my name. I looked and saw Zach. "Sam.." He said as he approached me.
"Zach I can't look at you right now." I said and turned around. "Sam please look at me." He pleaded. " I can't after he did that to you. I had to sit there and watch you hurt and suffer. It was all my fault." I said.
He grabbed my hand and turned me around. We made eye contact and he sighed. "Your almost 18. We were 13 Sam. That was almost 5 years ago.. Sam i'm fine now." He said and I grabbed his arm.
"But this is not fine." i said as i pointed to the scars and bruises. "And the ones on your chest and your back. It's not okay." I said and i started to tear up.
"Samantha.." he said as he embraced me. "I am okay. I swear to you. Just come on back inside. Get some food, be with your friends." he said and I nodded.
We walked back inside and i sat beside Kian and wiped the rest of my tears as Zach went to go get our food. " He made you cry ??" Jc said and Kian tensed up.
"Kinda, but it's all on me." I said and looked at Kian. "What did he do." Kian said and i grabbed his hand.
"Calm. Down." i said as i saw Zach walking back over to our table. He handed us our food and smiles at me.
"Can we help you ?" Kian said as Zach's smiled faded. "What ?" He said looking confused. "Your just standing her smiling at my girl like an idiot." Kian said and i sighed.
"Kian stop. Your being unreasonable." I said and he didn't even look at me. "So like i said before. Can we help you ?" Kian asked again. Zach looked at me, he had worry and sadness written all over his face.
He looked at me, then at the guys and walked away. "Finally. We can eat now." Kian said and i got up and me and Jc switched spots. I was now sitting by Dom.
I quietly ate my pancakes while Kian sat there saying my name over and over trying to get me to stop ignoring him.
I looked at him and looked back at Zach. I got up, grabbed my phone and walked over to Zach. "Hey. I'm about to go on break." He said and i nodded. "Hey out your number in my phone so we can talk sometime." i said and he let out a chuckle.
"Wouldn't your boyfriend try to fight me for doing that ?" He asked and i laughed. "I think he will be okay." I said and handed Zach my phone.
He put his number in and i hugged him. I looked at Kian and saw that he was jealous. "I guess i'll see you around." I said and smiled at him as i started to walk away. "Hey Sam !" He yelled out and I turned around.
"Yeah ?" i asked. "We should hang out sometime." He said and i nodded and smiled.
I went back to my table and Dom and Jc were confused and Kian was mad. "What ?" I asked and they all exchanged glances.
