Chapter 42: The Robbery

I was thirsty so I decided to stop at the gas station on the way home. I walked into the gas station and this creepy guy came up and walked in behind me. I held the door for him and he gave me an evil looking smile.

I walked to the coolers in the back to get a sprite but before I opened the cooler I heard yelling. "GIVE ME ALL OF THE FUCKING MONEY!!!" I heard someone yell and I walked slowly through the aisles so that no one in the front could see me.

Holy shit.. the dude that I held the door for is robbing the damn gas station!

Seconds later he shot the man at the cash register. "Who's next?!" He yelled and I crouched down on the floor. There is no way i can get out of here. He's blocking the door.

"Can you help me?" I heard from behind me. I turned around and saw a little girl. "I will try. Where is your mommy?" I asked. I heard another gunshot. "Mommy!" She yelled and went to run to her but I stopped her.

"I'm so sorry sweetie but you can't go over there, the man will hurt you." I said trying not to cry. "O-ok" she said trough her tears. This poor girl just saw her mother get shot.

"Okay do me a favor." I said and gave her my phone. "Record this and don't stop it until I come and get you." I said and she nodded as i pressed record. "Stay low." I said and I grabbed a couple lighters and stood up.

He saw me and put his gun up. "Stay back!" He yelled and i stopped "You don't have to do this." I said and he put his finger on the trigger. I flinched as he did it.

"You have the money, just go." I said and he started to put the gun down. I started to walk up to him and he put the gun back up and shot me in the shoulder. "FUCK!" I yelled in pain.

I grabbed the lighters out of my pocket and threw them all at him. He shot again but he missed. One hit him in the eye.

"Shit!" he said and dropped his gun to check his eye. I quickly ran over to him and grabbed his gun off the floor and ran back to where I was standing before.

"You little bitch." He said as he started walking towards me. I aimed the gun at him and he stopped walking. "Don't come any closer, I'll shoot!" I said and he laughed. He lunged towards me and tackled me. He began to punch me in the shoulder where he shot me.

I closed my eyes and fired the gun I kept my eyes shut until I felt him roll off me. I got up and felt dizzy from my shoulder. I looked in the back room and there was a lady crying.

"I shot him.. Call 911." I said and she nodded. I checked the cashier and the mom's pulse, they were dead. I couldn't stand to look at the man I shot.

I cried as i walked over to the little girl. "You can stop recording now sweetie." I said crying. "I picked her up and put her on the opposite side of my wound. I put my phone in my pocket and I grabbed my skateboard and walked out.

"What about mommy?" She asked and i looked at her. "Mommy went to heaven." I said and she frowned. "Mommy will be with daddy now." She said and my heart broke.

I started walking home, it was about 7 minutes away. I felt like i was loosing consciousness so I kept asking her questions. "Whats your name?" I asked her. "My name is Mary." She said and I smiled.

"How old are you Mary?" I asked and she held up 5 fingers. She is only 5 and she has no mother or father..

I started to run because I felt my eyes getting heavy, seconds later my legs began to get weak. I felt the blood running down my arm. It felt like forever but I finally got in the driveway.

I was almost to the door. I saw Mary open the door and point towards me. Seconds later I saw blurry people running towards me. I felt myself getting tired and I heard voices but it was fuzzy. Seconds later I slipped away.

Kian's Pov:

Me, Jc, and Do were watching TV, waiting for Sam to get home. I heard the door open and we turned around and there was a little girl standing at the door pointing outside.

We got up off the couch and i saw someone standing in the grass swaying back and forth.

We walked outside and the closer I got,I realized who it was. "HOLY SHIT SAM!" I yelled and she fell to the ground.

"I'm on the phone with the police right now!" Jc said and I nodded. I picked up Sam and went over to the little girl. "What happened??" I asked and she shook her head. She looked petrified.

A few minutes later an ambulance pulled in the driveway. They put Sam in the back and the little girl rode with them. Me, Dom, and Jc jumped into my car and followed the ambulance to the hospital.

We arrived at the hospital and the little girl never left Samantha's side. The police tried to talk to her but all she said was that she wanted to talk to Sam.

No one knows what happened but from the time she left to the time she came home, she somehow got shot in the shoulder.

The doctor said the bullet didn't hit anything major, they gave her some medicine to make the pain go away and all we have to do is wait for Samantha wake up.

Sam's Pov:

I opened my eyes and I looked around. I was in the hospital. I looked at my arm and my shoulder was wrapped up and I had an IV in my arm.

A couple seconds later the bathroom door opened and Mary walked out. When she saw me she immediately smiled. She ran over to me and hugged me.

"Sammy!" She said and pressed a button on the side of my bed. A couple minutes later a nurse walked in and she smiled when she saw me.

"Hello Ms. Dallas. I'm glad to see that you are up. How is your shoulder?" She asked and I looked at mt shoulder. "It hurts a little, but it's bearable." I said and she nodded.

"Should i get your visitors?" She asked and i nodded. "The police and your family was talking to me." She said and grabbed my hand.

"Oh what did you tell them?" I asked and she shook her head. "No." She said and started to cry. "Aww no no no. Don't cry baby girl." I said and hugged her.

A few minutes later in walked Kian, Jc, Dom, Cameron, and Matt. They all looked at me in shock and i couldn't help but smile.

"What are you smiling for?" Cameron asked and i looked at my shoulder. "You guys look terrified." I said and they all nodded.
