*Just adding this to eliminate some of my shorter books. Don't judge, I know it's crappy.*

The clouds were dark, dark like chocolate. We pulled into the parking lot of Loves, so we could take a break. As we got out I looked up at the clouds. No one else watched or looked as we walked into the convince store we raced to the back, we used the restroom and walked slowly to the door. My sister cried for donuts, my mother ignored me and my sister her eyes on her phone, poking around Facebook. A TV right by the door caught my eye. A little Oklahoma was in the bottom right corner. I stopped to look at it, yellow and red covered the hole left part of the state, like scattered leaves in the fall. That's where we are I thought to my self. My mother pulled me to the door and told me to stop watching the stupid movie. I trailed behind her trying to explain what I saw she disregarded me like I was a child asking for a stupid toy. When we reached the truck, the clouds darkened to our left. I pointed to the clouds and tried to warn them. They dismissed my warnings and passed it off as the typical night sky. We continued our journey as if nothing was wrong and when the lightning began to flash and thunder boomed they only then thought it was a good idea to check the weather on their phones. The storm was huge and was covering half the state. The began talking quietly about the weather. Eventually we pulled up to a tire shop and pulled under the awning. My father made sure the camper was under the awning. My sister took off her headphones and asked what we were doing here. " We are just here to wait out the high winds and rain." my mom brilliantly said to my constantly worrying sister. We sat at the tire shop for about 10 minutes. "Its almost here." my dad said to no one. Dogs began to bark. Lightning flashed around us, illuminating the dark vehicle. My dad turned off the engine and rolled down the windows cool air came into the truck. The sign to the old shop creaked as the wind picked up, more lightning flashed. The sky was a weird brownish-green color. More lightning flashed, but no thunder could be heard, yet. Cars drove by us as we sat at the shop. My mom and my sister watching their movies my dad playing on his phone, me typing this. Just then a lightning streaked across the sky, no thunder. I watched the sky eager for something to happen, more lightning, no thunder. Just the rumble of cars driving and the creaking of the old sign. Lightning flashes again, finally thunder booms. A light rain sprinkling outside, my mom complains so my dad closes the windows then farts. Wonderful. It begins to sprinkle a little harder. We stopped for this I think. Then a huge streak of lightning shoots across the sky. It begins to sprinkle a little harder, more lightning no thunder. Boom!!! thunder rumbles the sprinkles come down a little harder. More lightning, no thunder. Then a streak of lightning and thunder. My dad opes the windows, the air smells like rain and wet earth. More lightning small rumble. A gust off wind blows in. More lightning a huge rumble, more sprinkles. A loud noise scares me, it sounds like metal on metal, no one takes notice. More lightning, big rumble, it starts to sprinkle harder. Lightning, more thunder. It begins to rain almost steadily. The cool water hitting my face and arm as I write this my dad turns on the wipers and closes the windows. It starts to rain harder, pouring down from the sky. Lightning streaks, thunder rumbles, It pours harder, more lightning and thunder the wind shakes the truck. The storm has arrived. More lightning, thunder rain. its all happening so fast now its a blur now. I'm typing this as fast as I can, the rain comes down harder. Huge lightning, Booming thunder, pouring rain, strong winds. The truck lightly shakes as lightning strikes and thunder booms, as we sit and wait out the storm. everything is so loud and bright I cant see outside anymore. the rain pour down the lightning flashes, the wind howls and blows the rain. Water streams down the windows like its the worlds most powerful carwash. The lightning steaks the thunder rumbles. The lightning so bright it fill the whole truck in light the ran streams down thunder rumbles. My dad starts the car. The lightning flashes around me and the thunder booms, more flashing more booming, more streaming, more blowing. so loud and bright. It starts to get worse as we sit at the tire shop waiting for it to stop. It gets worse and worse, the rain pouring, the wind howling, the lightning flashing, and the thunder booming. I sit and listen and see and smell, and my mouth is dry and I'm full of terror and adrenaline then the biggest strike yet flashes through the sky and the thunder rumbles and rain pour the time is now 10:12. More lightning and thunder and rain and wind. It all so load and bright and moving. To me the storm is natures best soundtrack to others its their biggest fear. I sit and listen, and feel and look. At the storm around me and i know I want to be standing out there feeling the rain and wind, and seeing and hearing the lightning better. But I am confined in this truck listening, watching, waiting for the beautiful storm to end. I put my head to the cool glass of the window and watch the rain fall and hear the thunder boom and watch lightning flash. The large truck shakes as the wind pushes it. More thunder. more lightning more rain, then it starts to quiet down a little then starts off again, will the wind, rain, lightning, and thunder ever end? Its been about 40 minutes. No breaks, no stopping, no end. I yawn, tired with the storm. Just more off the same, lightning, rain, wind, and thunder. The thunder is quieting a little, rain still holds strong. The wind is dying down, but the lightning still flashes. My parents begin to talk about directions. The rain dies down a little more. The thunder is distant but its there. We should be leaving soon. Lightning still flashing, rain still raining, thunder still rumbling, wind slowing, but its still there. Huge lightning, barely audible thunder, the rain covers the sound. It has now been an hour, the time is 10:29, my dad turns off the truck. More lightning more thunder, more rain. More puddles, that will be splashed in tomorrow. More lightning that will be forgotten tomorrow. The rain dies down then gets louder along with the thunder. WILL IT EVER END!? I ask myself. My dad starts the car and we get moving we pull out of the drive way of the tire shop, and head off to the camp grounds. We are on our way i decide to take a nap. When I wake up we are at the RV and trailer park that we are staying in for the night, the time was 11:23. My parents went into the office and checked us in. When they came back in my dad started to back up so he could turn around and he backed into a pole. "Crap." he said. We pulled up and got turned around. We got to our spot and my dad hooked us up and we got out of the truck with our stuff and headed to the camper we got in fixed everything up, and got ready for bed. As soon as I brushed my teeth and had my pajamas on I got in bed curled up with my three blankets as my sister complained and I slept. THE END.
