Sirius twirls me around the dancefloor. My yellow dress flows around my ankles and I am carefull not to fall in my nude coloured heels. Sirius spins me out, then back in. We smile at each other and from the corner of my eye, I see Lucius and Narcissa standing so close to each other that I do not believe there was any space between the couple.
Lucius leans down and whispers something in Narcissa's ear. She throws her head back in laughter and whacks his chest. I feel my heart drop as I remember the talk I had with Narcissa a year ago when she told me about her arranged marriage.
I do hope that Lucius will win the end. He doesn't need to win her heart, only her hand. Of course I had not Lucius, afterall I cannot break Narcissa's trust.
"What is he comteplating now I wonder?" chuckles Sirius. I turn my attention back to the handsome boy in front of me. I shrug my shoulders and wrap my arms around his neck.
"How wonderful it would be when you come to Hogwarts next year,"
"I know, I can finally leave this hell that I call home,"
"You do not like it here? I like Grimmauld Place, it has a certain...theme to it,"
"Theme? You mean dark objects at every turn? Creatures lurking in the shadows waiting for you to be alone? No thank you,"
"Hogwarts have creatures lurking in the shadows too,"
"Not ones ready to curse you. At Hogwarts I will finally be safe, and I will get to see you everyday,"
"You will love the Slytherin common-"
"I will not be in Slytherin,"
"You...will..what?" I freeze. I shake my head. "What do you mean you will not be in Slytherin?"
"My whole family have been in Slytherin, and I do not know if you have heard, but I am the family disappointment,"
"And you are proud of that? You want to be a disappointment?"
"Of course I do not want to be!" Sirius glares at me. He looks around and see that other couples have stoppedd dancing to watch them. He grabs my wrist and pulls me outside. "My parents hate me Katerina, so why should I give them any satisfaction?"
"Well in Slytherin you will be with me," I feel a water forming in my eyes, "don't you want to be with me?"
"Of course I do, we can still be friends when I am in another house. Gryffindor hopefully,"
"GRYFFINDOR? The house full of mudbloods and blood traitors?" I push him away. No, this cannot be. Sirius cannot be a blood traitor.
"You shouldn't call them that," hisses Sirius, "they are the same as us,"
"Sirius, has your Mother not taught you the importance of our blood purity?" I turn to see where the voice had come from. Narcissa was glaring at Sirius with her vicious eyes as she stormed up to us, Lucius following close behind her, but gave her space.
"Ah sweet cousin, I see you have brought your puppy dog with you,"
I turn back to Sirius and slap him. "Do not call my brother a puppy dog you git!"
"Oh darling I am worse than a git, I am a blood traitor who believed you to be different. I guess I was wrong,"
"And that was when her games started," Sirius interrupted Hermione from the door. All eyes turned to him. He looked much worse from when Harry and Hermione had saw him a few days ago.
