These comments are what another's mostly get. I can understand why we get them a lot and why you send them. You are excited about the certain story and can't wait to read more about it. These tend to be annoying to some authors though. Sometimes when authors update they get comments right away telling them to update again.
Authors do have lives outside of Wattpad or other writing apps where they can't always write new chapters right away. I understand this very well because I usually tend to get around 100 update comments a day on my stories. I would love to update as much as possible but sadly I am still in school and have a job as well.
For authors who are slow at updating or are having trouble coming up with ideas right away they tend to get the most update questions. It is very hard to come up with ideas for new chapters right away and takes time. I know people who ask for updates aren't trying to be rude or negative and just want to read more or a good story.
Just some advice for those who really want updates. Sometimes it's best if you wait maybe a week or two before asking for an update on a story. Some times authors who get update comments as soon as they post feel the need to rush and it can either be stressful or cause them to write something they don't like or that isn't good.
That's just what I have to say about update comments. They're nothing really serious but they can be stressful or slightly annoying.
