After the confusing events that happened earlier in the morning, the rest of Jungkook's day went fairly well. He got himself a cup of coffee, finished up the remaining of his homework (algebra, a favorite of his) then managed to complete all three Iron Man movies again while cuddling up in his snuggly bed.

The male had no idea where Taehyung went — heck, he didn't even care of the older male. He really didn't. All he cared about at the moment was the serenity he had when the other occupant of the house was not around to cause hazard in his already troubled head.

Right on time, his stomach began to grumble, reminding him that it was time for some dinner so he gave it a pat or two then got up from his bed, arms stretched upwards to get his back muscles feeling relieved from being in the same position for too long. He grunted, cursing himself for the bad habit he has. He should really keep in mind that he's supposed to move a little and not freeze like a stuck CD playing on a DVD player whenever he's caught up in a movie marathon. God, that was 5 hours of not moving for him.

Jungkook shuffled over to the door, hand on the knob to twist it and successfully open the door but before he could do so, he felt the knob turning by itself and his eyes widened in surprise as the door was pushed by a sudden force that he had not seen coming. In simple terms, the male got hit in the face hard by the wooden door with a loud thud and a groan in pain following right after. He heard a gasp and shot a glare at the intruder who happened to be nobody else but the older male himself, Taehyung, who was wearing a pink polka dotted apron and had an expression that clearly said, 'I gotta fucking run before this guy kills me'. He didn't even move because his hand was still around the doorknob.

"What the actual fuck, Kim Taehyung? Don't you know the decent way of coming into someone's room is by knocking first?" Jungkook gritted his teeth, clearly putting more emphasis on the word than normal as he rubbed on his sore nose which was starting to redden. The former male gulped audibly once and somehow came to talk in a stutter, "I-I.. I thought you were asleep. S-Sorry, Kook," he smiled rather sheepishly then scratched the side of his neck with his forefinger. The said male had his arms crossed, clearly unpleased. "Then what is it that you want that required you to hurt my nose in the process of asking me?"

Taehyung looked away, almost as if he was embarrassed he was there to say this. "I made dinner. It isn't the best but I thought I'd do as much to apologize for last night," he coughed right after at the remembrance of the previous night's happenings and stepped away from the door. "If you'd like to join me, then please," the lighter haired male said, making way for the other and adding a mocked bow of his head with a teasing smirk on his face.

'Well, at least his pain-in-the-ass personality didn't disappear like my dignity last night,' Jungkook thought sourly. Nevertheless, he headed towards the kitchen but not before shooting another glare at the older man for the pain on his nose.

--

The both of them sat at the dining table in silence, quietly picking on the vegetables. The air that hung around them had 'awkward', 'awkward' and 'awkward' floating everywhere. It was unbearable, they could barely manage to go through it until someone decided to speak up.

"You didn't tell me you know how to cook," said Jungkook as he fed himself some of the grilled chicken the other made.

That made Taehyung quirk up and gained a smirk on his face. "I took culinary for awhile while getting my Bachelor's in international business. You could say it was a side interest."

Jungkook nodded his head in acknowledgement, internally sighing because he did make a good grilled chicken. He couldn't deny good food. As he thought about it, he should allow Taehyung to make more mistakes and faults in the future so he'd get good food in the end.

Realizing what thought just crossed his head, the dark haired male instantly shook it off and tried looking as normal as possible so the man in front of him won't suspect a thing.

He coughed a little, "Were you interested in becoming a chef?" Jungkook avoided eye contact when he asked, seemingly more focused on the food rather than the person he was currently having dinner with. It seemed like the latter didn't mind it a single bit, enjoying his own cooking with as much gusto as the younger man.

Taehyung hummed a bit then shrugged his shoulders which didn't go unnoticed by Jungkook, "Meh, not exactly but there were times I had thought of it. You know, graduating culinary school, opening my own restaurant, having my face plastered on the wall.." he sighed pleasantly at the thought but stopped midway when he saw the obviously judging look on the male's face. He cleared his throat and placed his utensils down as he took his last bite, smiling what it seemed like a meek smile. "Anyway, I wasn't as interested but there were thoughts."

Jungkook just nodded his head, squinting his eyes at the older male but resumed to finish his own meal.

After that, they became silent again.

--

Jungkook huffed as he wiped the counter with a rag, fringe falling that it almost covered his eyes but he brushed it away with the back of his hand. "That son of a- I didn't even ask him to cook for me and now he's making me wash the dishes for him?" The male muttered angrily to himself. Taehyung had a mountain pile of frying pans, a grill, bowls and plates and different sorts of ladle in the sink. 'What did he even do with all of those!? Are they even needed?' He thought to himself as he eyed the clean pots and pans he washed diligently but with much, much rage. Narrowing his eyes, Jungkook wiped the very last bit of water on the counter and around the sink before hanging the rag away for it to dry.

The male lazily walked back to his room with his full stomach and sleepy head, passing by Taehyung's room along the way that he heard the said man talking in a hushed voice. Almost like a whisper.

He didn't want to be nosy but - he can't help feeling curious. Taehyung was always so loud, what was making him so cautious now?

"No, Jungkook. Don't you fucking- oh God, burn me in hell," he grunted as he obliged to his own desire, going closer to the burgundy colored door that was slightly opened to get a closer look as to what the occupant of the room was doing and what he was talking about. Jungkook's eyebrows furrowed slightly.

He saw the man sitting on the edge of his bed, head facing the opposite of where he was standing and he was rubbing his temples as if the person he was talking to was giving him a headache.

"No, I can't- No, not today. Alright?"

Silence.

"Look, I can't visit them today. I have things to do and I told you not to call me. Texts would suffice," Taehyung angrily whispered into his phone. The snooper (aka Jungkook) widened his eyes in surprise at the older's tone. He had never heard Taehyung sounding so mad before.

The other male sighed, as what the snooper could come up with since it wasn't as audible because he was barely whispering, before talking again.

"I'll try to visit them on Sunday, alright? Don't call me until then." Then, he hung up and sighed louder this time. Suddenly, Taehyung's head turned to face the door and Jungkook straightened up from his position in an abrupt manner, looking away as if he did not just listened to half of the man's conversation. He was praying hard to God to just make a hole and let the ground swallow him so he'd slide down directly to hell instead of having him face the wrath of Kim Taehyung after finding out he just eavesdropped on his phone call.

But fortunate for him, the male looked pretty confused as to why the younger stood there like a scarecrow waiting to scare some crows. "What are you doing, Kook?"

"Uh, what?" Jungkook blurted then pointed to himself. "Me? I'm just on my way to my room after finishing up in the kitchen. Thanks by the way, it was Hell's Kitchen in its most literal sense," he said mockingly then quickly made his way back to his room.

Taehyung, on the other hand, was more confused than ever at the boy's actions. "He's weird," he mumbled to himself before shaking his head and headed over to the bathroom.

The night went on with complete silence between the two.
