Glidean, Galledon; 6 days after the Welcoming Banquet

After the welcoming  that  welcoming banquet, which left Taehyun the feeling of anything but  welcomed, he  was immediately  shown  to his  living  quarters on the highest floor of the Cliff Palace. It  was beside  the  largest  and the most prestigious room inside the  Place and the whole of Galledon, the King’s living  quarters.

Despite his annoyance  and anger  at  the King who deigned  welcome  his  supposed future Queen,  he  couldn’t help but  look  forward to  look at the man  who demanded  for his hand. Mostly he looked forward to judging him really. What he looked  like and if it  was true that  he was ruthless. Though if it was true that he was ruthless, then it might be better  to avoid  him for the rest  of his  if he could manage it. He could only  hope the  rumors  were inaccurate.

However, after  six day inside the Plaace and living near  the King’s living  quarters he  was left disappointed. He had neither seen  a glimpse of the  famous  King nor has he seen his shadow. He couldn’t say if it was deliberately being  avoided though. Besides, he was too busy to be sure.    

The very  next  day  after  the  banquet, Taehyun woke up to the sound  of  Ehron calling  his name, very  early in the morning.

“Your Highness” Ehron said in a soft  voice. Taehyun didn’t make a move, still immersed in the land of  dreams.

“Your Highness, it is time to wake up.”

“Your Highness please,  we have a lot to do.” He insisted.  I stirred and opened  one  of my eyes to see a blurry Ehron standing at the side of my bed. His  green  robe  was impeccable as ever as was his  graying hair that  was  tied in  a bun. The early  rays  of the sun shone behind his back.

“Hmm.” Taehyun protested at the  King’s right hand man. He turned around  and closed his  eyes reaching out  for  another pillow to cover  his head from the  obtrusive  presence.

“I am very  sorry good  sir,” Reefa intervened. “But  he will be indisposed  so early  in the morning.”

Ehron was about  to retort but Reefa interjected again “If he  would be forcefully woken up so  early  in the morning, I’m afraid that  he would be indisposed  for the rest  of the day.” 

However, Ehron being the  right  hand man of the King has always  been  full of tenacity and just a tad bit  insensitive. Hence, he proceeded  to wake  Taehyun up.

The  rest  of the day that followed had been the most  chaotic that Ehron  ever  had. Taehyun, being  extremely annoyed  from  being  woken up, refused  to  cooperate and  made  it  impossible  for Ehron to accomplish  anything.

Although Ehron was  a little bit  insensitive,  he was  also  a fast learner. Hence, the  next day he  prudently went to  Prince Taehyun’s living  quarters when the sun  has fully risen  up. Taehyun has already  fully  waken  up before he  arrived  and  was at a better mood  to  cooperate throughout the  rest of the day.
And so it  goes that the rest  of the  week  had been  nothing  but  tiring. Exhausted was the most  appropriate  word to describe the constant  state Taehyun was in. He hoped this was not going to be the state he would always be in though.
He has hustling  and bustling  all over the Palace doing all sorts  of things. He has  been spent some days, choosing quilts,  curtains, bedsheets and  other furnitures to his liking.

The commodities inside his chambers were surprisingly not as plain as he originally thought they would be but they were not as extravagant as he was used in Elverion. While he didn’t have any  complaints  on the arrangement, he was told by  Ehronthat  it was the King’s orders to the s servants  to give  him all the things Taehyun needed  to comfortably  settle inside the Palace. Hence, he acquiesced and  went  with his wishes.
