In a small house near the border of Galledon,
'Grandma?' the chıld said as he walked meekly into the room.
'Why is it my dear child?' the old woman sitting near the fireplace looked up from her knitting.
'I can't sleep.'
'Again?' asked the grandma with a worried tone.
'can I sleep with you?'
'of course my dear child' the grandmother said as she put away her knitting materials in a neat pile inside a basket.
The grandmother took the child's left hand and walked into the room from which the child came. She tucked the child under the worn out blanket and walked to the other side of the bed. As she settled on the bed, the child asked,
'Grandma, can you please tell me a bedtime story?'
'But of course' the grandmother acquiesced and started telling one of the stories of the common folk of Galledon. But before she could finish the second sentence, the child cut in.
'but grandma, you already told me that story for a hundredth time'
The grandmother smiled as she said 'alright child'. Before she could even start another story, the child then suggested,
'Oh I know, tell me about the story of our Mighty King again, a glow of excitement sparkling in his innocent eyes.
The grandmother smiled knowingly. She must have told this story to her grandson a hundred more times than any other children's story. This story was her grandson's favorite as was every child his age in Galledon Kingdom. It was told more often than the founding of the kingdom itself. And as the rest of the kingdom, it was her favorite story to tell.
She clears her throat and started
'Once upon a time,' she goes, mustering all the mystical tone she could, just like the old days when she used to tell stories for a living. Her grandchild looks up at her listening attentively.
"In the kingdom of Galledon, there lived a King. He was strong but not as strong as he would've liked to be. As most Kings in the West during his time, he was ambitious. He wanted to expand his kingdom and create an empire. He led many battles and won most of them. However, there was one kingdom he could not conquer and a battle he couldn't win. The King, fortunately was a clever and cunning man.
He believed that if he cannot beat the enemy, then he better join them. And so he extended an arm of surrender and promise of peace. He did what His precedents has never done and married the eldest daughter of the Elder of his enemy's state. He has gone against the worst thing that any self-respecting Galledros would do, surrender to the enemy and do a tabooed thing; marrying from another race.
He was opposed by many of his Council who later on led rebellions against his regime. Unfortunately for all those who opposed him, the King was also a cruel man. He crushed all those who rebelled against him. He beheaded them all and opened their stomach. He fed them to his hungry wolves which he kept as pets.
For many years, after his purge of the rebellious Council, no one has dared to oppose him. However, there rose a greater problem for this King. Many believed that it was because he has angered Galledor, the founding father. Whatever the reason was, the King was not able to produce an Heir to his throne not by the Queen, nor any other woman he touched after his marriage to the enemy state's eldest daughter.
One day, while he was leading his generals on a hunt, they caught a She-demon.
She-demons are powerful creatures known for their beauty. However, they have a weakness. Indeed they are most vulnerable when they are in heat. It just so happens that the She-demon they found was at the peak of her heat. The King ordered his generals to leave before they were driven crazy by the overwhelming smell of the she-demons. It is well known that the smell of She-demons is potent aphrodisiac. The King was left with the She-demon. After three days, the King returned from the forest bringing along with him the She-demon he captured. It was not long until the She-demon gave birth to a child.'
'King Mino' claimed the child sleepily but with smiling face.
'Yes, Hence, the Mighty King was born' acceded the grandmother.
'The King was overjoyed at finally having a child. In his joy, he declared the child as Heir to the throne.' She looked at her grandson who has already fallen asleep. She smiled and then raised the blanket to the child's chin. She then rested her head on the pillow. But before she closed her eyes, she whispered,
'too bad, he wasn't wise enough to know that he'd be subjecting his son to the same predicament he once had been in.' she sighed and finally let sleep over.

Beyond the screen....
Taehyun: ohhh! So King Mino is the name of the other lead huh? I can wet my briefs just listening to that name alone.
Mino: I could show you something that I guarantee could make you come in your briefs.

So , this was one of those chapters that doesn't actually have namsong scenes in it. But I hope this entertained you all the same.
I would just like to point out some important facts that we have leaned from this chapter which shed some light to some things in the previous chapters.
First, intermarriage with other races are tabooed in Galledon. This explains the lukewarm welcoming banquet for Taehyun.
Second, King Mino is a half-demon.
Third, as the grandmother pointed out at the end, Mino was subjected to the same fate as his father. He cannot produce an Heir.
Stay tuned to know why that is!
Let me know if some of you don't like reading the chapters which don't really have namsong in it so that I could put a warning before the story.
Have a nice day ahead you beautiful people!
