The office was a lot farther from the party room than I thought. As a matter of fact, the office was located on a far side of the pizza place and seemed to be separated from all the fun party rooms. "Here is the office," the manager said.

Me and Dillon walked into the office to look around. It was a very small room. It had long desk along one wall with a fan, a computer, and paperwork for the pizza place. On the walls, there were some posters of the three animatronic animals. On the other side of the office was a telephone and a power box. The other two walls had a doorways into the office.

"So this is the office," the manager said. "As you can see their are two doorways that go into the office which have electric doors. You just push the button on the wall next to a door to close it."

She showed us by pushing a button next to one of the doorways into the office. A metal door closed from the ceiling.

"These doors are made to keep things from getting into the office," the manager explained. "When the doors close, an electric lock holds them in place. To open the door, just push the button again."

She pushed the same button again and the door opened.

"On the desk is the tape recorder you are to listen to at midnight," she said pointing to toward the desk.

"I have a lot of questions right now," Dillon said.

"So do I," I responded.

"I can answer some of them," the manager said, "but the employees have finished cleaning up. I need to be out of here as soon as possible."

"I'll be quick," I said. "First of all, why do we need such hard doors?"

"Again, only the owner and night guards hear about that information," said the manager. "The information on the tape recorder has it all."

"Also, are we really required to stay in this office for our whole shift," asked Dillon. "'Why must we stay in a place that is separate from all the decorations?"

"Its the owner's rule," the manager replied. "I'm sure you'll find out why you need to stay here as you work. Besides, their are some decorations on the wall here."

"That's helpful," Dillon said sarcastically.

"I do have another question," I said, but before I could ask, the manager interrupted me.

"Guys, I understand that you have a million questions right now, but I'm not supposed to hanging around after the employees are ready to go," she said. "Just listen to the tape recorder and follow everything it says. Meanwhile, I have to lock up and get going. The owner certainly doesn't want anything getting in this place, but he says he also doesn't want anything getting out."

With that she left before me or Dillon could ask any more questions.

"Does this mean we're on our own now," Dillon asked.

"Apparently," I said. "I don't understand what's going on. What do we do?"

"I guess we just chill until midnight," Dillon said.

Each of us took a seat in the office.

"So Dillon," I began, "what made you decide to work a night shift here at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza?"

"Oh, I just wanted to have a well paying job to save some money for college," he answered.

"That's great," I said.

"I think I found the right place," Dillon continued. "They pay night guards twenty dollars an hour."

"And it seems that they encourage electricians to work these night shifts," I added. "Electricians get paid ten dollars extra for every hour."

"Are you an electrician," Dillon asked me.

"Yes," I responded. "I used to work for a company of electricians until it experienced a severe financial downturn."

"Really," Dillon asked.

"Yes, it went out of business and left me jobless," I said.

"Oh no," Dillon said.

"I was looking for a temporary job until I can get into another company of electricians and this is what I found," I explained

"Well I'm sorry to hear that," said Dillon," but it looks like you found a good temporary job."

"Thank you," I said.

At this time it was 11:30.

"I wonder what we're supposed to do overnight," asked Dillon. "I mean, if we need to stay in this office until the place reopens tomorrow, what is there for us to do?"

"I have no idea," I said. "I will say, the animatronics were not the only strange thing I saw as I toured the place. The supply closets seemed empty and their are security cameras everywhere."

"Who needs so much security in a children's pizza place," Dillon asked.

"That's the same thing I was wondering," I said.

"Do burglars commonly break in at night," Dillon asked.

"Perhaps," I said.

We waited a little longer.

"Let me ask you," Dillon said, "did you sign a wavier when you first applied for this job?"

"Yes I did," I responded.

"So did I," Dillon said. "I recall that it mentioned that the company was not responsible for anything that happens to use from any of the equipment here."

"I know," I responded, "at first I was thinking that I would need to use equipment that might be dangerous, but I haven't seen such equipment in this place so far."

"What could possibly happen to us," Dillon asked.

"Its just about midnight," I said. "I think we should listen to the tape recorder now."

"Alright," Dillon agreed.
