Coldness was all I felt this morning, my whole body was freezing.
I had my arm wrapped around myself to keep me warm but it wasn't working I was still cold.
Why was it so cold this morning?
I kept walking heading towards the empire. I bring my arm up looking at the time on my watch it was 4:15. I had decided to go to work very early in the morning so I won't see my Aunt Branks I really don't want to know if my uncle agree with her to give me away...
He probably would agree with her because that means he gets to spend less money.
I felt my whole body go numb I looked around to see if I was close I smile when I saw the empire I went walking up the stairs and open the doors walking inside I shivered it feels more colder in the empire than outside.
I went walking upstairs to go to my desk. 'Good Morning Mr. Linton. ' Mr. Stone said as I passed by his desk.
'Good morning. ' I answered back to him still walking. 'Mr. Linton!' I heard Mr. Stone footsteps walking behind me trying to keep up with me.
'I almost forgot to inform you that Mr. Ambrose will not be here today." I stop walking and stay still I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
'So Mr. Linton you don't have to work today you could go home early and spend time with your family.' I nodded my head.
'Will um Mr. Stone... do you perhaps know where Mr. Ambrose is?' I asked
"Well Mr. Linton sometimes when Mr. Ambrose goes to a meeting he doesn't come back in a while... I believe he went out of town." Great I knew that I should have gone and he ask me to stay here he knew that he was going to be out of town I should have saw this coming why wasn't I focusing on work? I sigh and turned around towards Mr. Stone.
'Mr. Stone?' I asked walking towards his desks seeing that he went back seating down I heard my footsteps echoing in the hall.
"Yes? Mr.Linton?" He looked up from his papers. "Did Mr. Ambrose say anything about this meeting he was attending to?'"I asked wondering what this meeting was about or more likely where the meeting was.
"No he didn't say anything he just left saying he not going to be here for a while."I nodded my head.
"Well I'm just going to wait here... I actually have some work to do in the office that I didn't get to finish since yesterday." He nodded his head.
I went heading towards my office closing the door. I sat down I barely got any sleep all that I was thinking is to avoid my Aunt and work but Mr. Ambrose isn't here.
Since I actually have nothing to do here and I don't really want to go home I should just take a little nap. I lay my head down closing my eyes letting the darkness of sleep take over me.
~~~Time pass~~~
'Mr. Linton?!' I heard a soft knock on my door I lift my head up fast I looked down on my desk seeing my drool, my eyes widened I put my arm on it covering it.
"Um yes?" I ask unsure what to say. "I just wanted to say that I'm leaving...so-" I cut off his sentence and look at the door trying to make sure I didn't sound like I was sleeping.
"Oh yes well I'm going to be here for a while I have so much to do so you can lock up and all Mr. Stone I'm going to be here for a while." I answered him.
"Okay I guess I will see you tomorrow then have a good day Mr. Linton." I heard his footsteps walking away from my door I lay my head down again maybe I should stay here since Mr. Ambrose isn't here and I don't really really want to go back home.
Maybe it won't be a bad idea I closed my eyes again.
