Uranus-Hades

There are several things in this world I hate:
My sisters
Monday's
The weekends
Holidays
Crappy music
Crappy films
Crappy tv shows
Moving
And my utterly stupid name.

I mean who on Earth ever heard of someone naming their eldest (and only son) Uranus-Hades.

I mean Hades I could deal with but Uranus? Really?

"Asshole get down here."
"Don't call your brother that!"
"But that's his name!"

I rolled my eyes and picked up my bag from the floor. I patted my back pocket to make sure I definitely had my phone. Once I confirmed I had everything I trudged down the stairs.

My ten year old twin sisters Tally and Sally were sitting at the table, giggling about something. My fourteen year old twin sisters were across from them. Patrica was talking loudly to someone on the phone and Morticia was silently eating her breakfast. Then at the far end of the table my youngest sister Suzy, who was five, was eating her breakfast whilst reading her book.

My dad and mum were in the kitchen cooking. Behind me I heard the sound of my twin sister Nancy coming downstairs behind me.

"Hey mum, hey Dad."

"Hey Urie." Mum replied. "Remember you older sisters are coming over."

"Are they bringing their husbands?"

"Yup and Tabitha is bringing her daughter." Dad said.

I groaned. "Why does this family contain so many females?"

"Sorry honey!" Mum kissed my cheek as she walked past. "Have a good day at school."

"Hey Dad." I waved at him, he absentmindedly waved back, more focused on feeding my little sister.

I sighed. "You coming Nancy?"

"Nope, this new girl I met at the mall - Sorry shopping centre - is gonna pick me up. Her name is Casey, she's super friendly."

I nodded. "Right well I'll see you later. Come on Patty. And you Mrs Adams."

Morticia sighed and followed me out to the car with Patrica still tapping on the phone.

I grabbed my keys from the side and hopped in my car. I switched the radio on and instantly some shit Taylor Swift song blasted out.

"I fucking hate this song."  I muttered to myself. I switched to a different radio station.

"Stop swearing so much." Morticia mumbles from beside me.

I ignored her and sighed in content as The Power Of Love began to play.
"Finally. A song worth listening to."

I leant my head back and concentrated on driving. My sat nav beeped as I neared the school.

As I pulled up I noticed Nancy walk up to the school with two girls. One had long blue hair and the other short brown hair. The one with brown hair had headphones on and was obviously immersed in her music.

"Come on girls, time to start at a bran new school. Yay!" I smiled sarcastically.

Morticia chuckled. "Let's go. Patrica probably has friends to meet with already."

The minute she said that Patrica squealed and rushed out the car. She ran over to a bunch of giggly girls.

Morticia rolled her eyes.

Morticia and Patrica were opposites. Morticia played to her name sake and wore all black, Patrica was a bubbly blonde.

I climbed out the car and locked it. "Come on Mrs Adams. Let's find reception."

We wandered into the school and immediately came across the reception area.

"Hello, my name is... uh Uranus-Hades and this is my sister Morticia. Our last name is Donaldson. We are here to get our locker numbers, keys and timetables."

"Ahh yes. Where are your other sisters?" The receptionist asked.

"They should be along soon." I replied.

She nodded and handed us our things.

"Where's you locker?" I asked Morticia.

"Block B, second floor. Number 223. What about you?"

"The put us next to each other. We can go there later, gotta go home room first."

"Form." A voice said from behind us.

We turned and came face to face with a red headed boy, about the same age as Mrs Adams.

"Hi. I'm Issac. You're the new kids?"

"That's us." I replied.

"I'll show you to your form rooms. Which are..."

"I've got room 35." Morticia said smiling sickly at him.
"Room 12." I narrowed my eyes at the boy.

"You're in the same room as me." The boy smiled down at my sister.

I placed a hand on her shoulder protectively. "I'm Hades and this is Mor-"

"Teri." Morticia interrupted. "My name is Teri."

"Well Teri, follow me, Hades my friend can take you to your form room." He smiled at someone over my shoulder. "And here she is."

I turned and saw the girl with brown hair and headphones from earlier in the car park.

"G, mind doing me a favour." The red head asked her.

G shrugged.
He smiled. "This is Hades. Please show him to room 12 which I believe is the same room as yours."

G turned to me. I noticed that she had a blonde strip which stood out amongst her dark brown hair. Her headphones were a mix of turquoise and purple. She wore a black hoodie and an oversized New-York Jets shirt with black jeans. Her eyes were a sea blue.

I smiled at the sight of the NYJ shirts.

"What are you smiling at?" She asked sharply.

I pointed to her shirt. "NYJ supporter?"

"Maybe. You?"

"More of a Saints fan myself."

"They're pretty good I suppose." She shrugged.

"Pretty good? Have you seen their defensive line?"

"Yes but what about their offensive line? Needs a bit of work don't you think?"

"So? Defence is just as important if not more. The Jets aren't great with defence are they?"

Gaia smirked. "American?"

"I lived there for a year and a half. I move around a lot."

She nodded. "So room 12?"

I nodded noticing Morticia and the red head were gone.

"Who was the red head?" I asked as we walked.

"Jakob. He's a friend of mine."
"How old?"
"Fourteen."
I cursed under my breath.
"Problem?"
"My sister, Morticia is the same age."
"Ahh overprotective big brother?"
"I have six younger sisters."
"Wow. I've only ever had one."
I frowned and turned to look at her, she had suddenly become sad at the mention of siblings.

We carried on walking in silence until we reached room 12.

"So this is it." She smiled at me and gestured to the room.
"Aren't you coming in? I thought this was your room too."
"It's is but... I uh... I gotta go reception. Bye."
She turned and began to walk away

"Wait! What's your name?"

She stopped and turned to face me again.
"Well Uranus-Hades, my name is Gaia-Persephone. I'll see you around."

She turned away from me and pulled her headphone over her ears, then carried on walking down the corridor.

Gaia-Persephone.

Shit.
