"Justice, my name is Justice", the young boy said shivering against the cold of the night as the wind whipped and screamed around him. He stared longingly at the small fire inside the house, it was small but it would be warm.

"Well Justice what can you contribute to this here camp", the man asked as he watched Justice's eyes slide over to the fire.

"I can cook, and I know a lot about medicine, and first aid", Justice replied as his small frame was racked in shivers, and then coughs. The man in front of him had taken his gas mask so that Justice wouldn't think of doing anything stupid, "Please just let me in. I'm cold, and hungry."

"Fine get in here boy, take your mask", the man pushed Justice inside the camp walls and Justice gratefully accepted his mask. He put it on and took a deep breath before wrapping a thin blanket around his shoulders. "Listen, there are twenty people in this camp, you will cook for all of them. Five of the people are sick, you will take care of them. If you don't we will feed you to a noractin or a magnorat, whichever comes first", the man said.

Justice cringed at the thought of getting eaten by a magnorat or a noractin, but he also nodded, he understood that they didn't want to carry around dead weight. "Yes sir, I understand."

"Good now get rest and I'll wake you when you must make breakfast.", the man turned away and walked out leaving Justice alone in the room. Justice knew that he wouldn't be allowed to get an actual room until he proved himself, so for now he would stay in the main room, the living room. He laid on the ground and curled into a ball near the small fire in the fireplace, soon his eyes began to droop and he fell asleep.
