It's bright. Really bright, oh I'm dead aren't I? The rain ate me when I was asleep. Ash is alone. He looked around as his eyes adjusted to the light. Ash was nowhere to be seen and he was staring out over an empty plot of land. I don't think I'm dead. The ground looks the same. No I'm alive. He sighed and stood up. Looking around he grabbed his backpack and tossed it over his shoulders. "Ash! Here girl!" He looked up, only a small area above him had been spared from the rain. "Ashley! Where are you!" He shouted as he started walking down the road, well what was left of the road at least. Justice heard a light bark and he smiled as he followed the sound. He found Ash chasing a smaller noractin around trying to corner it. "Hey girl. Need help?" Ryder laughed and jumped in front of the animal Ash was trying to catch, it stopped and Ash quickly snatched it up in her jaws. He patted her head then nodded his head to tell her to follow. "You've got your food so now it's time to find mine."

Ash barked and carried the animal in her jaws as she happily trotted behind Ryder. "Good girl, Ashley." Ryder smiled at her then started to jog a little so he could get something to eat before he got to hungry. He had eaten his last can of beans yesterday. Most of the town had gotten eaten away and the store that Ryder had thought he saw was nowhere to be seen. Food I've got to find food that is my first priority. Ash barked softly and trotted off the road and into a slightly wooded area, trees had an almost rainproof outside. Ryder looked at her then jogged behind her following as she wove between trees. She continued to look behind her making sure Ryder was still following her.

Ash led Ryder to a small town, a town made of wood. It was still standing and everything inside was intact. There was just one problem, it was a magnorat nest. Ryder ducked behind a tree and pulled Ash next to him. There is a lot of food in there I could fill my entire back pack. I could have enough food to last me weeks. Is this worth it? Fuck me. Is this even actually worth it? Weeks, I could have food for weeks. Fuck it I'm doing it. It's daytime anyways they'll be asleep so as long as I'm quiet I should be fine. He sighed and stood up, "Stay Ash." He whispered before dashing into the town, he slid under one of the decks of a house and looked around. The magnorat that was awake didn't notice him so that was good. He quickly darted to the store and opened the door carefully, inside were a bunch of magnorats asleep on the ground. Ah fuck. Tiptoe, shit was that one awake? Damn, I'm gonna die. He carefully stepped over the magnorats and found food that wasn't expired. Holy shit are those twinkies!?  Ryder went to the shelf and smiled. Hell yeah! He grabbed three boxes of twinkies and shoved them into a second bag he found. Once he had two bags of food filled up he went back to the door and opened it slightly.

The one magnorat that was awake had found food and was now happily devouring it. Ryder took a deep breath before he ran back into the woods to Ashley. She was still where he told her to stay and she had eaten her food. "Good girl Ash. Very good girl." He scratched behind her ears before sitting down to enjoy a twinkie.
