Ryder cringed as he saw the rain started to drip through the ceiling above him. It had been raining for a while now and it didn't look like it would stop anytime soon. Ash had nervously started pacing the room as the drops of rain hit the floor below starting to dissolve the carpet. She watched the rain then walked over and licked Ryder's hand before pacing again. Ryder was scared, he grabbed his backpack and walked over to the corner farthest from the rain that was now threatening to dissolve him. He sat down and buried his head in his arms, he was absolutely terrified. He whistled for Ash to come sit by him and she hurried over to him and curled up in his lap. Ryder softly pet her back then let the tears fall from his face, he hated being scared but he was scared of dying, and that's what was going to happen. He curled up against Ash as more rain fell, the hole in the ceiling got larger and his chances of surviving got smaller.
"Rain rain go away please let me live another day", he sobbed, I'm going to die. I'm going to die a painful death. He sang the song over and over as he clutched Ash to his body. His new friend was going to have to watch him die, and she wouldn't be able to do anything about it. "Rain rain go away please let me live another day."
