The next  morning I woke up well rested and went downstairs. I was putting my hair in a basic braid as I went. I got to the kitchen, grabbed a bowl, the milk, and tried to reach the top shelf to get the cereal but I was to short. I huffed, slammed my hands on the counter, and hopped up to get it. As my hand touched the box another hand reached the box as well. I look over my right shoulder and see Steve. " Um......Kena? Why are you on the counter?" Steve asked confused. I raised an eyebrow " Well Steve it's because um........... well." Steve looked at me with a smirk "You're too short aren't you?"

"I was going to say why aren't you and no I am not too short I just want to make sure that the cereal has a safe trip down to the counter without falling." I grabbed the box and hopped off the counter.

"Oh my goodness you are too short." I glared at Steve who just started laughing. "Yeah well jokes on you because there is enough for only one person." He stopped laughing and looked at me with puppy eyes but I took a bite of it while making eye contact. He rolled his eyes and started making eggs. I just kept standing at the counter. Steve looked at me confused and then looked at the table and back to me. "What? Sometimes I eat standing up."

Steve rolled his eyes smiling, and went back to his eggs. I put my bowl and spoon in the sink, went to my room and changed into shorts, and AC DC shirt and black converse. I went downstairs and Steve was at the table eating with Clint, Natasha, and Tony. "I have a question. Where can I get paper and pencil?" Tony got up and opened a drawer in the coffee table. "It will always be here if you need it again.

"Thanks." I said taking a few sheets and one of the pencils to my room. When I got to my room I wrote

People I trust
1 Steve
2 Clint& Natasha
3 Bruce

I folded the papers in half with the pencil inside them and placed it on my dresser then left. When I got back downstairs all of the Avengers were sitting at the table eating breakfast. When I entered the dining room I looked at each of them individually and saw that Steve was still in the kitchen doing something.

"I will answer your questions, but I have conditions." Tony rolled his eyes, Bruce looked up at me, Thor kept eating his pop tarts looking at me, while Clint and Tasha grunted looking into their coffee mugs. Steve leaned against the doorway, and looked at me.

When Steve looked at me I felt butterflies in my stomach and I don't know why.

"My questions get answered, only one person is in the room, no one eaves dropsy and only Steve is asking questions. If any of you have a question about me, please ask me and not Steve or my file. If I don't answer right away be patient, I will answer I just need time." I said. I looked at each of them and got the same responses as last time.

"Well when did you want to answer the questions?" Steve asked me. I thought for a little bit.

"When you're ready for them." I said. Steve gave me a proud nod.

"The file is on my dresser. Will you go get it for me?" Steve asked me. I went up to his room and to his dresser. On it I saw a black and white picture of a smaller, skinnier version of Steve and a person was next to him. The man was wearing a Sargent uniform and figured it was his best friend Bucky. I grabbed the file, and a pen, then went back downstairs.

I heard talking so I stopped in the hall to listen.

"I just don't understand why it has to be just Steve in there with her. We all need to know what she says, and what if she tries to pull a fast one on him or leaves?!" Tony said.

"She won't. The reason she wants just Steve is because she trusts him more than us. I am not surprised that she doesn't trust you because you have been a jerk to her since she's been here. You need to lay off her Tony." Nat said with heavy attitude.

I walked in and gave the file to Steve. I looked at Tony and glared.

"What is your deal? What did I do to you? You are treating me like a criminal. Nat is spot on as to why I want just Steve. He's not being an ass hole to me, that's why." I went into the living room and plopped on the couch. I heard someone choke on something, and start laughing. Everyone got up to go do something else, and Tony hesitated in the front door.

"I'm sorry. I just have trust issues." He said. I looked up at him.

"So do I but do you see me walking around being an ass hole to everyone?" I said. He nodded his head in understanding then left. Steve came in and sat in a chair across from me.

I actually got a good look at him then. He had piercing blue eyes, beautiful blonde hair, and was well built. I felt a small sensation course through my body, and immediately felt a little nervous and cautious about how I looked.

He opened my file and put it on the coffee table. I arched an eyebrow looking at it.

"Wow one paper? Thought you would have more than that." I snarked smirking at him.

"Well we would have more if you weren't so impossible to follow, and get information." He sassed back. He asked me his questions, I answered them, and then we both changed so we could go work out a little bit.
