The Black Roses

"Gattina, I need to call a meeting baby, go get Kaden dressed, meet me downstairs in the living room after." With those words, Mario pecked me on the lips, then left.

Did Mario just kiss me? What the cow?

I ignored the simple act Mario pulled, and made my way to Kaden's room.

As I quietly peered through the door, I noticed a maid fiddling with Kaden, in a way he did not like. I looked down to her hand, which held a kitchen knife.

"You hell spawn!" She hissed before raising the knife. Before Kaden was hurt, I lunged at her, knocking the knife out her hand.

After yesterday, I considered Kaden my son.

I straddled her waist as she yelled something from the bible. I threw multiple punches before getting off of her and grabbing my son. I held him with one hand, gripping the maids hair in the other.

I walked down the staircase, and entered the living room, immediately all eyes fall to me.

"What the he'll are you doing with the maid you crazy b!tch?!" Some dude I hadnt met yet yelled.

"She just tried murdering my son with a knife. The only female dog here is this sad excuse for a human." I hiss before banging the nurses head on the floor.

I then crouched down to her and whispered, "If you ever mess with me, or my son, ever again. I will end your sorry ass. Thats a promise." And with that, I spit on her.

"Nate!" I yelled impatiently.

"Yes Boss?" He questioned while jogging into the room.

"Take this stupid maid to her sleeping space to get cleaned up. The have a pair of eyes on her at all times until told not to. Got it?"

"Got it boss" he finished, taking the maid away.

I took my seat on the sofa, and watched everyone's facial expression. It seems that they were in shock due to my actions.

"Hot and feisty! I like it, shes useful."Alex whistled.

"I thought wrong about you. Looks like miss nice girl had a bit of edge to her." Gino admitted. I was a bit shocked at his statement, but I didnt let him show.

"Nobody touches my son, or what's mines. As long as you stay on my good side, I'm nice. That maid however, is now on my bad side. Which gives her one last shot at life." I smiled as I played with Kaden's small hand

"Your son Gattina?" Mario asked with a brow raised. Jesus these people are deaf.

"Yes babe, my son. Keep up. After that night I vowed to protect him until the day I die. Seeing nobodys here wanted him since you, uh, tried to kill him, I took him in. Now he's my son. Deal with it." I smiled.

Everyone nodded their heads at me in approval. I felt proud that I'm not letting anyone step all over me anymore.

"Anyways...Princess, we're The Black Roses." Mario stated.

I immediately knew what he was talking about, my fathers enemy gang. The Black Roses were the biggest gang in all of California. My father hated them, because of lord knows what.

"My father freaking hates you guys." I surprisingly bursted out in fits of laughter.

"Your crazy." The red headed girl stated.

"I know! Isnt it exciting?" I smiled happily.

"We know she's crazy Evie. Like I was saying, your technically our enemy, and usually I would kill you, but since nobody has ever seen you, your very useful to the gang." Mario explained.

"So...?"

"Your living here, and your joining the gang. Youve been staying in Nate's room because there are no extra rooms, but you'll share a room with me, and Kaden will be moved next to us. Meeting Ended." Mario stated blankly before everyone scattered out of the room.

What the heck have I gotten myself into?
