Chapter 3: drama day is a go

I woke up to the sound of purring. shady was right next to my ear sleeping. I tapped her paw which was on my nose. eventually she awoke and right when she did she did a little morning-meow. it was so cute, I wanted to stay! But I had to get up. I went into the kitchen with a fur ball in tow. I fed my kitty and got a coke out. I wasn't hungry and I hated coffee. I sat on the couch Criss-cross-applesauce and sipped my soda.

"Soda? in the morning?" a voice said scaring the crap outta me. I turned to see ash standing in the door way.

"Creeping on girls? in the morning?" I said mocking him. he laughed and sat next to me. it was awkward at first but then I relaxed.

"We have a meeting today. right before lunch too. it sucks!" he said rolling his eyes.

"Yeah well, obviously you haven't been to school!" I stated.

"I did go to school but that was a long time ago." he said. I finished my drink and threw the can in the kitchen's direction.

"Lazy much?" ash asked laughing.

"Only in the morning." I said smiling. "I gotta get ready. what time is this thing?"

"In an hour."

"K. you gonna wait there or?" I said getting up.

"I'll wait. you won't take forever. right?" he asked.

"Just for you ash." I said walking to my room. I took a shower, got dressed, did my hair, and put my make up on all while being sang to by shady. she was cute. when I came back ash was asleep on the couch. I smiled, got the cat and set her on top of him. shady laid down and purred. ash woke up a few seconds later.

"Was I really that long?" I asked picking up shady.

"I don't think so. what year is it?" he said sitting up.

"Year 4023 why?" I said teasing him.

"HOLY SHIT I MISSED THE MEETING!" he said going along with it.

"And the one after that. and the one after that..." I said setting the cat down. ash got up and grabbed my hand. I was startled at first.

"Your funny!" he said getting closer. "and cute." he mumbled leaning in. just as he was about to kiss me, someone knocked on the door. ash paused then stepped back, letting go of my hand. I went to the door with ash in tow. I opened the door to find Andy. ash grunted behind me just loud enough for me to hear.

"Sorry. we were just leaving." I said getting my key.

"Ok. the meeting is in 10 minuets so take your time. sort of" he said winking.

"Um ok?" I closed the door and turned to ash.

"That was weird." I said walking past him. honestly the tension now is weirder than the fact that Andy winked at me. I hate being awkward.

"We should probably get going." Ash said picking up my empty soda can. he threw it away and came back to meet me at the door.

"I hope I get to finish what i started later." He said opening the door for me.

"What, cleaning?" I teased breaking the tension. I walked into the hallway and waited till ash moved to lock my door. he stood there, blocking the door with his arms crossed. I smiled and started to try to push him out of the way, but he wasn't moving.

"Ash. I need to lock the door! I don't wanna be late!!!!!" I said giving up.

"I'm almost always late so that doesn't bother me. all you need to do is use the magic word!" he said smartly. I rolled my eyes.
