Everyone is so happy. Everyone is always so cheerful.
"Bullshit." Camila thought. Nothing about this world was happy. Life was stupid and she hated it. No one actually lived "happily ever after" like in the movies. It was shit, honestly.
Feet dangling and looking down at the city people, Camila wasn't scared of dying. She wasn't planning on killing herself but she wouldn't mind dying.
That's just how it worked. That's just how she worked.
She sighed and hopped off the edge of the rooftop, onto the floor. No, not that floor.
She opened the door to walk back down and out of the rooftop of the abandoned building. This was her place that she always went to.
Camila walked through the cold streets of New York City. She was heading back to the place she couldn't even call home. She decided it was too cold to stay up on the rooftop of the building.
She kept her eyes low, in case someone tried anything. The people of New York were very sneaky and everything/everyone there were sketchy. She didn't trust anyone. At all.
Deep in thoughts, she bumped into a hard body causing her to tumble down to the ground.
"Sor-"
"Watch where the fuck you're going." Camila snapped at the unknown person. She looked up to be met with the greenest eyes she had ever seen.
It was too dark to make out the body but she could definitely see the glowing emerald eyes.
"What's your problem? I said I was sorry." The person muttered. She was a girl; Camila knew this.
The brown eyed girl shook her head and walked around the stranger and headed back to her destination.
"Dumb bitch." Camila mumbled to herself.

The next morning, the tiny brunette stole a stash of weed from her uncles jar and put it in her small backpack, along with two books. She sneaked out of the house and ran far enough to where she couldn't see the broken down house anymore.
She walked the long way to the only place she was ever at.
As she was making her way, she heard people arguing. She recognized one of the voices, but she didn't bother trying to remember who the voice belonged to.
Camila looked over to see a girl and a guy arguing. She looked around and hid a bit in the back to see what was going on.
"You know she didn't mean anything, right?" The guy asked, getting closer to the girl. The girl backed away and shook her head.
Camila rolled her eyes. Typical.
"I don't give a shit. This happened years ago and we broke up. Why are you still coming after me after all these years?" The girl made a face.
"Because I still love you, Lauren."
Camila chuckled. Wow, this guy is a bum.
"I seriously don't care," Lauren laughed at how ridiculous her ex boyfriend sounded right now, "I stopped having feelings for you long time ago. Now leave me alone."
The bread looking boy opened his mouth to say something but closed it back again and got into his mustang.
They both looked rich. Their clothes looked really nice and they didn't seem like they were from here.
Lauren sighed of relief and looked around. Camila ducked away quickly. She walked out of the corner a few minutes later and passed by the girl.
"Hey." Camila heard behind her. She rolled her eyes but kept walking.
"Hey! I'm calling you." She heard again. She knew who the voice belonged to now. It was the girl from last night.
Camila blocked out the calling and continued walking, the building being not too far away.
Once she couldn't hear the calling, she turned around, and the girl was gone. Camila got to the building and climbed through the hole in the wall. She dusted her clothes off and made her way up.
She opened the huge metal door that lead to the rooftop. She closed her eyes as the cold wind blew through her face.
Smoking weed and reading books is all she ever loved to do.
The small brunette sat at the edge of the rooftop, her feet dangling. She put on her earphones and blew smoke holes. She smiled as she read her book. She always seemed to get lost in her own little world. Where there was no worries and she was free.
She didn't even hear the metal door open. She felt as if someone was looking at her; she quickly turned around.
The girl was there. The girl from last night and earlier. Lauren was her name.
Camila took off her earphones and stood up.
"Hey, wait! You're going to fall!" The girl yelled out. Camila looked down. She was dangerously close to the very edge. She shrugged. Lauren gave her a confused look before slowly walking her way.
"I'm Lauren." She said once she felt she was a little bit closer to the brown eyed brunette. Camila didn't say anything back. She sat back down and looked at her book, once again smoking her weed.
"You smoke?" The Lauren girl asked, shocked. What was such a beautiful girl doing up here alone on a rooftop and smoking?
Camila looked up and gave her a "Are you stupid" look.
"Can you speak?" Lauren asked. Camila sighed and rolled her eyes. What did this girl want? Camila just continued to read her book, not bothering to even answer the girl.
She could smell her. She smelled like strawberries.
Camila didn't know what time it was now. She looked up from her book and noticed how dark it was. She looked beside her to find the spot empty. She ran a hand through her hair. It was cold.
She really didn't want to go back to her uncle, especially since she took his weed. She knew he would be very pissed. She took out a blanket and a pillow from a small chest she had put there a few years ago.
She fell asleep looking at the stars.
