Goodbye Arthur

Chapter 2

"Are you alright Milady?" asked Gwen. "Do you need anything."

"Could you shut the window Gwen. It's a bit cold in here." Gwen smiled at Morgana and went over to shut the window. "Thank you... did you hear that?" Morgana sat up in bed and looked around.

"Hmm?" asked Gwen turning around. "What my lady?"

"I thought I heard something."

"I didn't hear anything. It is late though, you must be tired. " Gwen walked over and picked up a bottle. "Did you take your sleeping potion?"

"No, it doesn't work."

"Do you want your bracelet?"

"Yes please." Gwen smiled at her and picked up the bracelet and gave it to Morgana.

"Goodnight Gwen." Morgana put on the bracelet and laid back down in bed. Gwen walked around and put out the candles before pulling up the covers around Morgana. 

"Goodnight, Milady," said Gwen putting on her cloak and slipping out of the room closing the door gently behind her. 

Gwen was headed down the corridor messing with the strings on her cloak when someone ran out of a room and knocked her over. The pair got tangled up in each other and Gwen's cloak before Gwen was able to untangle herself. "I'm so sorry," said Gwen grabbing her cloak. "I wasn't watching where I was ... Merlin?" She reached out a hand to help him up but he cowered away from her. Her eyes widened when she saw that he had scrapes all over him and his clothes were ripped and covered in blood. "Merlin, what happened to you?"He curled up in a ball and cowered next to the wall, his eyes wide with fear. She gently covered him with her cloak and lifted him into her arms before turning and heading back the way she had come. She didn't notice that Merlin's scarf was laying on the floor or that the room that he had came out of was Prince Arthur's  as she was concentrating on holding him while heading back to Morgana's room.

"Who can that be at this hour," muttered Morgana to herself as she got up to answer the thumping at the door. "I'm coming give me a moment. There better be a good reason for waking me up at this hour of the..." She opened the door and saw Gwen standing there. "Gwen."

"I'm sorry Milady but can we come in."

"Gwen what is... oh my god is that?" said Morgana as she noticed Merlin in Gwen's arms. "Come in, quickly. Put him on the bed." Gwen hurried in and laid Merlin on the bed where he curled up in a ball. "What happened?"

"I don't know what happened, I found him like this as I was leaving the palace. This is this first place I thought to take him."

"Stay with him. Don't let anyone in. If they want in tell them that I said that I'm not to be disturbed."

"Where are you going?"

"To get Gaius." Morgana threw on a cloak and hurried out of the room.

So Gwen found Merlin and Merlin is a mess. Will Morgana help Merlin especially since he tried to poison her or will she leave him to fend for himself?
