Lesson Learned (part 1)

Rose bowed her head. Her eyes rested on a piece of paper in her hand. It was her grade review of this semester. Her grade was really good in certain Lesson, but there were 2 Lessons that screwed things up; Dragon Class and Potion Class.

"Unfortunately it's not good enough to make you pass this semester.", the voice of Prof. Snow White was still repeated in her mind. It meant that she have to do the final exam again to fix it.

She sat alone in the classroom. The last class has ended, but she didn't have enough energy to walk home.

As the tears began to pool in her eyelids, suddenly someone shouted her name. But she didn't hear it because she was just too drown in sadness.

Until finally the person stood in front of her and put a hand on her shoulder, "What's wrong, Rose? Are you okay?", it sounded worriedly.

Rose realized then immediately wiped her tears.

She raised her head to see the person in front of her. "Hawk? W-what are you doing here? I thought you went home already.."

Hawk then sat beside her. "I was just about to go home when I realized that you weren't go to the portal with Travis. He even didn't know where you were. So what's happen, Rose?"

Rose looked back at the paper. "I didn't pass in 2 Lessons so I have to do the final exam again next week. But I doubt that I will succeed in this second chance because these Lessons are the most difficult for me, Dragon Class and Potion Class; although Dragon Class is my favourite. Still I'm afraid that I'll fail..", she covered her face with both hands.

Hawk stroked her hair gently, "Calm down, you have friends who love you and will help you through this. And of course I do, too. And I'm really sure that you won't waste this chance."

"Really?"

"Of course, Rose. As long as you also believe in yourself. Besides, the Rose I knew will never discouraged."

She smiled.

"Now that's better.", he smiled back and continued, "So, I think we should go home now, cause obviously you will need some rest. And we'll work things out tomorrow morning."

She nodded and they began to walk.

The next morning, Hawk gathered with his teammate in the school garden. While waiting for Rose to come, he told them about Rose's problem to ask for their help.

Suddenly, "Aaaaaahhh... somebody help meeee...", Rose's voice shrilled as she falling from the sky.

Hawk ran to catch her. At that moment, Astoria whispered to Joy and Travis with a grin, "Hey guys, I have a better idea.."

Not long enough, Rose and Hawk came to them. Hawk told Rose that her teammate already knew about the problem.

"So guys, I think we can help Rose to study those lessons in one week. I mean, well Astoria, we know that you're good at Potion Class. AND Dragon Class.", Hawk's eyes rolled when he said the last one.

"Aww.. thanks for the compliment, Hawk. But Rose..", she grabbed Rose's hands and continued with a sad face, "I'm so sorry l can't help you this time. My granny already asked for my help to find some missing books. You know how crumbled she is when she lose some books, right?. I'm afraid it will took a week because we have to search it in the entire tower!".

"How about you, Joy? You're Prof. Le Frog's granddaughter, maybe you could give Rose some advices about potions?", Hawk asked Joy.

"Errrr.. Well I'm afraid I can't. I have some other things to do. with bugs. and worms. in my castle." Joy said hesitantly. "Sorry Rose, I feel like I want to curse myself right now because I really want to help you, but I can't.."

"Well at least Travis will help to... whatever you do, right Travis?", Hawk said to the Beast who looked nervous.

"Well I.. I.."

"Coach Beast said to me that he wants to tame some new dragons, so definitely Travis will be busy this whole week in helping him.", Astoria interrupted.

"I guess it's just you and me then. I promise you, Rose, I will do whatever it takes to help you.", Hawk cheered Rose up.

"Thanks, Hawk. I really appreciate that. And guys, I truly understand that you have another important thing to do. You guys have been helping me all this time."

They had group hug and began to walk to the class.
