Everything was set for Kelly's birthday party, balloons and cake already laid out "he's here!" Otis shouted as Casey led Kelly through the doors. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" everyone shouted just as the alarms went off
'Engine 51, Ambulance 61, Truck 81, Squad 3 building collapse....'
The house itself was simple enough to deal with 2 floors truck team downstairs squad upstairs... the floor giving way underneath Severide's feet sending him through the floor ontop of the unknowing Casey, rubble encasing them trapping them as the two teams tried to save their lieutenants.
An hour had passed both Severide and Casey were trapped injured in some way laughing despite the circumstances "Matthew Casey if you planned this there really will be trouble" Severide said pushing his best friend slightly "to be fair I didn't plan a building collapse and us getting trapped" Casey replied sucking in air for his broken rib "hehe I was talking about the party........ Matt!" light conversation had taken a horrific turn as Casey fell unconscious "guys how much longer?" Severide asks worry evident in his tone "just hold on!" Cruz shouted down as truck and squad worked on removing some of the rubble, a beam of light peered through as truck saw their fallen lieutenant. Not 10 minutes later were both lieutenants rescued and on their way to Lakeshore.
The party itself was good they had a BBQ as well as a piñata, Casey came for a bit being told he had to rest his broken rib as well as the concussion suffered as well. Severide and Casey walked outside ready for Gabby to take Casey home "hey thanks for the party it was awesome..... I thought I lost you earlier" tears formed in Severides eyes "after Andy seeing you there motionless under the rubble.... I don't know what i'd do without you" the tears rolled as Casey gave his best friend a proper hug "I'm not going anywhere" was the only words needed for Kelly "Awwww" came a chorus behind them as the men pulled away they saw their family from 51 around them smiles on their faces knowing their lieutenants weren't going anywhere "see you tomorrow" Severides words were to the point "I'll be there!, Happy Birthday old man" Casey replied walking to Gabbys car as they drove off. Severide was glad he had such a good friend who wasn't going anywhere "come on haven't we got a party to go to" ushering 51 back inside he looked towards Casey's truck promising himself he will take it round later.
