It had happened before any of them knew what was happening.... Both teams were walking slowly through the sewer drains looking for a missing person when suddenly one I the supporting beams from overhead snapped smashing through the floor making a big enough hole that Hermann, Mouch, Mills, Casey and Severide were thrown into the dark pit with no form of escape. The other team members staring on shock keeping them placed.
Severide woke pain racking through his body looking around in the dark room he could hear at least 2 pass alarms going off, unable to determine who fell with them he dragged himself through the pit "who's that?" Came a scared voice Severide knew as Peter Mills "it's me Mills who else fell with us?" Severide asked carefully taking a hold of mills arm "Mouch and Hermann" Mills replied unbeknown to himself and the others that Casey was infact behind them when the beam fell. A soft groan grabbed both squad members attention "Mouch is that you?" Severide asked talking the lead "yeah it's me.... Where's Hermann" he asked groggily "we'll find him are you two hurt?" Severide asked trying to look the two firefighters in the face "not seriously" Mouch replied taking his injured arm is his other hand "don't think so" mills replied. "Let's find Hermann and get out of here" Severide demanded dragging himself through the pit some more.
It wasn't long until the squad and truck guy found there other fallen member "chief we've got everyone Hermann is unconscious but breathing, Mouch has a possible broken arm and Mills and I just have scratches" Severide listed off the injuries they suffered what the chief said next made Severides blood run cold "and Casey?!!" Chiefs echoed voice ran through the radio "he didn't fall with us did he" Mills asked worry in his voice "well he's not here" chief replied as everyone worried about the condition and the whereabouts of their truck lieutenant.
It must of been 10 minutes after the radio call when the other truck and squad members got Hermann and Mouch out "I'm staying I'm looking for Matt" Severide stated "Kelly you need to get out" Boden called looking at the unsafe structure of the tunnel "I'm not leaving him behind, all for one and one for all!!" Severide shouted back turning back to the tunnel his new flashlight in hand. Half an hour passed before Severide spotted a semi conscious black ball trapped under some smaller pipes "Casey!!!" Severide shouted running over seeing that two of the thin small beams had actually pierced Casey's skin leaving his bunker gear covered in blood and fast flowing "damn it, Chief he's stuck and losing blood" Severide shouted. Matts eyes fluttered open at the shout of his best friend "we've got to get Hermann and Mouch and Mills" he gasped trying to get his words out "hey don't worry about them they're already safe lets focus on you anything else hurt" Severide pleaded the answer would be no "my back" Casey half whispered as Severide tried to lift up the back of his turn out jacket only to see a larger amount of blood it's source he couldn't pin point.
2 hours later and Casey was on his way to the hospital having his smaller wounds tended to his back wound was a cause of concern "ok a beam went into his back it snapped we're taking him into surgery now to remove the other half, he should be fine but he's lost a lot of blood" the doctor told the firehouse as they waited for news on their lieutenant. The corridor was quiet when they were allowed into his room seeing him pale and covered in blankets made their hearts drop he looked so small in the hospital bed. "You know I can see you staring right" Casey asked waking to find 51 looking at him "I thought I lost you, what were you doing there" Severide broke down as the rest of 51 left their lieutenants to talk "I came to help you" Casey defended rubbing his friends hair "I'm glad you're ok" Severide took his friends hands before looking him in the eyes "one for all and all for one right I knew you wouldn't leave me" Casey replied as they both drifted off to sleep 51 watching them from the window smiling as everyone was ok.
