The story begins in a convenience store. Here we see our heroine, Jade, humbly exiting the glass doors with a Popsicle in hand. It was the first day of summer, and with no plans whatsoever, Jade is beyond bored. Her mother is way too busy tending to her dress shop to travel anywhere with Jade. Jade could travel by herself, she IS sixteen now. But sixteen isn't old enough according to her mother.
Jade sits in the parking lot licking the drips of ice cream off of her wrist. Is this how it's gonna be for me? Thought Jade. Last summer was eventful for Jade, she had Louis to hang out with. Long story short Louis broke her heart. A breaking which devastated her throughout junior year. Believe it or not, she says she has moved on. The letters buried underneath her mother's flower bed says otherwise.
She was on her way home when she stumbles upon a flyer stapled onto a wooden post. It was an advertisement of the sort, it was handwritten and had magazine cutouts collaged in a messy yet charming way.

CALL CHARLIE AT xxxxx
Jade was intrigued, not just by the Do-it-yourself design of the poster but as well as its poor choice of words. It may be a bad idea to call this persons number, Jade wouldn't want to end up chained down in some person's basement, but it was worth the risk to not make her summer as boring as it is.
