Jade didn't expect to carry a bunch of 2 by 4's onto Charlie's backyard. The sound of drills and nails being hammered flooded Jades ears as she plopped down the wood right next to where Charlie was.

"Why the heck are we using wood for a damn rocket ship?" Jade said. Alas, Charlie was way too invested in plastering two sheets together. Jade walked up to the blueprint Charlie had tacked on the board, it was much too complicated for her to understand. She continued to sandpaper whatever pieces Charlie had finished.

"So Jade," Charlie stops hammering and fiddles with the tool. "Where did you learn how to sneak into bedrooms?"

"That sounds confrontational," Jade widened her eyes as she puts on another coat of varnish. "I just happen to be a pro at sneaking in and out of rooms, started practicing during school."

"Why is that?"

"Well you know, sneaking out of P.E, sneaking out of a one night stand, the works..." Jade could feel Charlie's judgment burning at the back of her head. But instead of shaming her, he instead let out a confused sound of assurance. Which was then followed by an awkward cough from Charlie. The silence then after bothered Jade and decided to be as invasive as him.

"Are you a virgin?" Jade looked back at the now flustered 17-year-old. Jade knew this was an odd choice for an icebreaker, her mother did say that Jade never knew when to shut up.

'W-Why would you ask that?"

'Nothing, I could just feel your awkward aura." Jade smirked as she continued polishing the pieces. "I mean there's nothing wrong with that, being a virgin."

Jade turned to Charlie who had his eyes kept down, carefully examining the blueprint. He had his hand to his chin, pretending to be enthused by all the numbers he jotted down. Jade wanted to laugh, but she knew that would be a shitty move. Instead, she got up and started to clean her workstation.

"I gotta go now, couldn't help but feel I made you feel weird." Jade mockingly smiles at Charlie, the corner of her eyes folding as she looks at the nervous boy in front of her.

"Ah yes, it's getting late now." Charlie looks up at the sky, avoiding Jades gaze. "See you tomorrow, uh Jade."

Jade leaves with one more look at Charlie. These types of guys were always an easy catch.
