His house was pink, like very pink. Jade didn't have an amount of hatred for pink but if one were to see it for themselves, they too would grimace at this eye-sore. Not to mention she once found herself sleeping in one of the rooms in this very house during one of her nightly escapades. It's not as pink inside as one would imagine.

Jade didn't know whether or not she should ring the doorbell. What if his mother answers? How could she possibly explain her presence? Hello ma'am, I'm here to help you nutjob of a son build a rocket to the moon! See? Stupid. She walked around the house and ended up in their backyard, she could easily pinpoint as to where Charlie's room would be. There was a window completely enamored with stars and a telescope positioned next to it. Jade put her sneaking out skills into use and climbed up the house this time. Going up was harder than going down, but Jade made it either way. As she got to his window she almost toppled over his telescope making a sound. She winces as she step foot into Charlie's room, hearing a muffled sound come from the bed.

"What, what the fuck?"

Jade awkwardly chuckles as she slowly steps forward to an annoyed Charlie.

"Thought I let myself in, good morning."

Charlie sleepily gets up on his bed, yawning as he scratches his head. Jade may have only known him for less than a day yet she can't help but feel that this Charlie, who probably wears the poshest and pretentious of clothes, only dressed in an old ragged tee and pajamas is the most intimate Jade will ever see of him. Jade may have been staring for a long time as Charlie gazes back at her, causing her to look away and position her sight to his bedroom walls.

"Those are some maps you got there."

"Yeah, I just put them up yesterday."

"Oh so you just moved here? When?"

"A few days ago," Charlie shuffles around his room to collect a bunch of blueprints he prepared beforehand. "Mom had to transfer jobs and all."

"Ah, how about your dad?"

"Left a few years ago."

"I feel you man." Jades father beats Charlie by leaving before she was even born, but we don't talk about him.

Charlie lays all the blueprints on the floor and plops down along with them. Jade positions herself beside him, their knees touching. Charlie turns to her with a determined look on his face...

"Let's get started..."
