those two stupid words.

lucy looked down at the floor casting her hair over her eyes. " what are you doing here? " she growled. " i'm back...and i'm staying. " natsu fiddled with his fingers taking his attention there. he looked up slightly. the guild was silent. quiet as it ever was. they didn't want to get in the mess that started to boil up right in front of them. 

to lucy, well, she was about blow. 

here, let me give you a bit of background information. 

little my little pink head flame pony over there just got back after leaving the guild. and you might be asking how? why? well at that time the guild was in battle. and as soon as they need that pink salmon head he just went up and left. 

vanished. 
out of site. 
out of mind. 

many people within the guild said different stories of why he left and how. other people were furious of why he just chose to leave. but only two person knew the truth.

he was with him when he left. 

back to the chaotic brewing of natsu and lucy 

lucy eyed natsu like a hawk. they stood there for quite sometime. natsu who is awkwardly swaying back and forth, side to side. while lucy is debating on whether she should just rip natsu to shreds or slicing him in half.  

a few seconds later the two former lovers were now in a deathly argument. it went on for about ten minutes. and it soon turned into a very deep lesson. 

" you left! with no trace, no letter, no anything. you can't just come back here like everything will be unicorns and rainbows! you didn't even have the audacity to say 'i'm leaving' " 

tears started water up in here eye sockets. the girl was fighting so hard to not cry in front him. she vowed to never cry over him any longer. 

" well, if did then you would've stopped me from going. " he took a few steps forward trying to reason with the fuming girl. 

" yea, which proves i CARE. i would do it a million times over again if it meant that you didn't have to go. if it meant that you would STAY. if it showed that we needed you HERE. you're the one who kept this guild like one big happy family. THEY needed you. I needed you. we ALL needed you. " 

she gestured to the entire guild. 

" and what did you do?  you left. you left and it hurt. and it hurt so bad. " 

her eyes were red, her nose was pink and stuffed. 

" i'm sorry, " he says. 

there's those stupid two words. 

" no. no. " she angrily pointed at him. 

" you don't get to say that 'i'm sorry,' bullshit. a little 'sorry,' doesn't mean anything to me anymore. it's just a word that covers up anything that you want it to and perceives something that's not right. so you know what, i'm not gonna believe it. and i'm not gonna believe your bullshit lies. i can see right through you, natsu. your the easiest person that i can read. and what i'm seeing is not good. " 

a couple voice cracks were heard here and there. 

" i―"

" you? you, what? huh? you didn't mean for it to happen like that? you didn't mean to leave like you did? you didn't expect to be gone that long? hm? two years. two years that i've waited for you. of me searching for you. and then you show up like nothing happened? like you just went on a mission and come back hours later? you're wrong. take a look,  natsu. take a good fucking look. " 

she was now three feet away from him. 

" we lost over half our guild mates. and master's in bed, sick and dying for the past- i don't know a year? " 

while she yelled at him, she walked slowly towards him in the most demanding way possible. 

" you walked out this guild leaving it a mess. you walked out leaving trash and memories that i don't want to have in the back of my head! " 

her voice increased ten fold. 

" you walked out like you didn't give two shits about us!! " 

everyone flinched. he was in it now. out of all the time he's pissed this blonde off. this tops all. 

" i had to pick up the shit you fucked up. no one else. just me. because they didn't know what to do. they didn't have anyone to guide them.  Erza and Gray have been missing right after gramps got sick. no one lead them. not even mira. she got too traumatized. you left. alright, yea, sure, i may not understand yet. but you left this place like a garbage dump. you tossed away this entire guild hall and everything in it. and you're walking right back in. " 

her face was now two inches away from his. 

" so here's an order for you. if you're gonna walk back in here and stay here, then clean up that garbage dump and burn all those trash bags. and you're gonna leave that dumpster spotless. and you're not gonna let one piece of trash in it.
