Holiday Special pt.1

A couple of weeks later
Lese POV
We were in our last class getting ready for our last assembly before Christmas break . I sat in class with Kayla talking about the dance that was tonight.

Kayla- So we all meeting up at your house tonight ?
Me- yea I got the stylist there all day so they can get comfortable. They picked out our outfits and all . When we get there all we gotta do is the hair and makeup.
Kayla- Gotcha. You think Nakia and Ray are going to act like somebody tonight ?
Me- I really don't know,  the pregnancy might be to much for them right now.
Kayla- Well she got 5 more months and it's not gonna get easier.
Me-(laughs) ikr. Not trying to get pregnant any time soon.
Kayla- So what's going on between you and Jacob
Me- girl I love him to death but I might have to kill him(laughs)
Kayla-(laughs) why, is it still Kent
Me- Yes, he fails to realize we're just friends.
Kayla- Tonight it's all about the turn up. Me and Jarvis are not going to be the only sane ones there.
Jarvis- What about Jarvis ??
Kayla- Boy ain't nobody talking bout you . Go back to your seat
Jarvis- Do you want to fight babygirl?
Me- y'all have plenty of time to fight later tonight
They just smiled at each other and I was so glad when the bell rang. I did not want to finish that conversation. I left the classroom and went to meet jake at in the gym.

Kent- Hey can I sit with you
Me- Sure but I'm going to be with jake too
Kent- Oh well I can find somebody else.
Me- Why?
Kent- I know how he is with you being around me, and us all together is just a bad vibe.
Me- yea you might be right.
Kent- ight talk to ya later then.
As Kent walked away I saw jake push his way through the crowd of people who were pushing for seats.

Me- Hey babe
He kissed me and I sensed he was uneasy
Jacob- What did Kent want.
I rolled my eyes and found a seat on the bleachers.
Me- cmon jake, he just wanted to see if he could sit with us, but changed his mind.
Jacob- Lese don't you see what he's doing, he's trying to get close to you. So he can take you away from me right under my nose.
Me- (laughs) do you hear how you sound . Listen babe, we are in this together and will always be. I love you and no one can get in the way of that .
Jacob- (sighs) I know, I love you too, I just don't want to lose you.
Me- And you won't . I promise
We linked pinkies and listened as our principal spoke .

Principal Wagner- Good afternoon students, welcome to your last assembly before the new year !!

We all cheered . It's crazy how we are about to enter 2018. The year I graduate from this hell hole. The assembly continued with some announcements then games, but you can really tell everyone was ready for the announcement about the the dance tonight.

Principal Wagner- ok you young adults as we come to an end, I would lastly like to mention the Holiday Dance that will start around 8:30. We would like to thank the teachers that agreed to chaperone and prepare the food. We ask that you come out and act on your best behavior, be safe and have fun.

Once again the crowd cheered
Principal Wagner- ALRIGHT TURN UP SEA LIONS ITS ABOUT TO BE 2018!!!!
The music played and we went crazy, mostly us seniors. This was going to be a fun night I can tell.

Later that night

Me- guys we are gonna be the finest lookin girls up in there, I tell ya datttt.
Nekia- you damn right, I'm coming in with my baby bump and still gon slay.
Brina- yes girl . Only 3 months pregnant and is already big
Nekia- I know right
Kayla walked from out of the dressing room with her hair and make up done.
Kayla- ok I look damn good, them people you hired can really slay Lese.
Me- I mean you gotta get the best to look the best...
Kayla,Nekia,Brina- I feel you
We all laughed and continued to get dolled up .

The girls were dressed, they looked at themselves in the mirror adoring each one's perfection
