I went outside and began to explore my forest. It was absolutely beautiful. There was a field of roses about 50 feet in. They were a beautiful shade of red. I picked a few and continued my journey deeper into the forest. It was going to be nightfall soon and I began home. I of corse did not wish to leave. When I entered the house I could hear my parents fighting as usual. I made my way up to my room and to my surprise there were bags of different sizes and shapes. A few were full of new clothes, some had new books, others had misc items inside. I went through my closet and got rid of the clothes that no longer fit or that were no longer worn and hung up the new ones. I also cleaned my bookshelf and got rid of the books I no longer read and the ones I could no longer read, for they had been used so often, and replaced them with the newer versions. I then took the misc items and put them in their proper places. All the bags were stuffed into my closet. I had gotten a few new devices as well. My laptop had been upgraded. a television was hanging from one wall with an Xbox One console connected to it. I was delighted to see such a spectacle before me. I looked more closely at my computer and found a letter written on a piece of stained and faded parchment paper.

Kylie,

These items you have found in your dwelling are for you only. Your parents are not to know you have them. A new lock has been placed in your door. The key is in a small jewelry box sitting next to your computer. Please use your computer wisely. I shall ask you to do two things. Look up the meaning of your name, and use the webcam. Look at your reflection. It will all make sense soon enough. Do take care darling, soon the time will come.

It was unsigned. Who would give me such wondrous gifts and not sign the letter? What did they mean soon the time will come? I was extremely confused. But I did as the letter said nonetheless. I started up the new unfamiliar laptop and opened Google Chrome. In the search bar I typed Kylie name meaning. There were thousands of results. I picked one and was surprised at the result: feminine form of Kyle; another word for boomerang; graceful, beautiful. The last one was the most surprising. My mother nor my father were clever enough for that.

I had also remembered the letter saying this laptop had a webcam. This was surprising for I was forbidden to use such things. I opened it up and looked closely at my face. The only thing was, I had no face. It was blank, and white as paper. There were indents were my eyes were supposed to be, and I could also make expressions and they were readable. I could furrow my brow and it was noticeable. I can't explain it. Ever since I was a small child I knew I was significantly different. There were some hints leading to this day.

I ran downstairs and confronted my mother. I had made sure father had left for work first.

"Mother I have some questions for you."

"You do? Oh dear."

"Who are my parents. You're obviously not my mother and that man is not my father."

"I knew this day would come soon. Just not this soon. Come, follow me. I have some things to show you."

I followed her into their bedroom.
