Your Point of View

Your eyes fluttered open as you felt a hand caress the hair out of your face. As your eyes began to focus, you saw Dean Winchester's emerald green eyes staring back at you. He moved closer to you in the bed and gave you a small kiss on your forehead before departing to the shower.

After he left the room you decided to get up and get dressed. you put on an AC/DC band t-shirt, and one of his flannels, with your go-to leggings, and quickly threw your hair up into a high ponytail.

You felt your stomach grumbling at you to eat something. You went to the kitchen and saw the coffee pot full. Sam must've already gotten up.

You poured yourself a cup and grabbed a bagel before heading to the bunker's library, where you were sure to find him. He had been holding up in there the past few days.

Per your expectations, he was sitting at one of the tables focused intensely on his laptop.

"Thanks for making the coffee this morning, Sam." You said as you sat down across from him.

"Huh?.... Oh, yeah... No problem Y/N." He responded very nonchalantly as his focus stayed with his laptop.

"What're you looking at?" You asked.

"More research about the Mark." He replied as he closed his laptop.

"Sam, you need to take a break, okay? I mean, you've already read all the books in this whole place, looked at every website possible, and talked to all of our contacts. There's nothing more we can do but keep the Mark and the First Blade separated from each other. And, who knows, Cas has been out searching for a cure. Let's wait and see what he says." You were beginning to feel concerned for his sanity.

"I know, I know, but I can't just sit here and do nothing Y/N. I just can't." He responded with exasperation.

"Okay. Okay. But..." You said as you pulled out your phone and opened your tabs full of possible cases. "Look, here." You moved over to him and pointed out one of the tabs marked 'The Papillion Times.'

"In the past two weeks, three kids have gone missing in Papillion, Nebraska." You said.

"You think it could be related to the Hatchet House?" He asked, scrolling through the article.

"What's the Hatchet House?" Dean said, as he sat down next to you.

Sam went on to explain the story of the Hatchet House "In the early 1900s, a school teacher killed her students with an axe. She cut out their hearts and threw them off of the side of a bridge. Another legend says that she cut off their heads and placed them inside their desks before she killed herself. And Y/N found that three kids have gone missing there in the past two weeks."

"Sounds like something we should take a look into, right?" You said.

"We've gone further on less. Plus this case sounds like a layup. Meet me at the car in ten." Dean then took another sip of his coffee before leaving the room.

You heard a familiar whooshing sound come from behind you. You turned your head to see Castiel. You ran over to him and gave him a big hug. "Oh my god, Cas. It's so great to see you!"

"It's good to see you too Y/N." He replied with a slight smile.

"Any news about the Mark?" Sam said, jumping to the point.

"Sam!" You said disapprovingly.

"Actually, I have found a spell but it wouldn't cure Dean of the Mark. But, it could lessen its effects on him." He stated.

"That's great, Cas. Let's go." Sam said assuming his invitation.

"You're not going with Cas. I am. You go work the Hatchet House case with Dean." You declared.

"But-" He began to say, but you immediately cut him off.

"No, 'buts.' Just go. I'll keep you up to date, okay?"

"Alright, fine. But I'm not gonna be the one to come up with an excuse for why you're not going on the hunt with us." He responded.

"I'll take care of it. And, Cas, I need you to stay out of Dean's way so he doesn't get suspicious." You then left to go find Dean.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You found Dean checking the arsenal in the trunk of the impala.

"Dean?"

"Oh! Hey Y/N." Dean said with a smile on his face.

"I can't go on this hunt with you guys. I need stay back. I'm sorry." You told him.

"Why?" He asked.

"Uh... I'm... Uh... I'm..." You then realized that you hadn't actually come up with an excuse so you just blurted the first thing that came into your mind.

"My period! I'm on my period. Yeah it's real bad. Cramps like you wouldn't believe. I can't even begin to te-"

"Okay, okay, okay. Understood. Understood. 'Nough said. 'Nough said." He responded, clearly uncomfortable with the situation you had created. Sam walked in breaking the awkwardness.

"You ready, or what?" Sam said as he got in the passenger seat of the car.

Dean leaned down to kiss you. "I love you." His lips were soft and his body was warm. He kissed you one more time before getting into the driver's seat.

"I'll message you later." You said to him as he closed the car door.

Dean gave you a wink and drove off, disappearing from view.

You ran back inside and yelled. "CAS!" You heard his wings and turned around to see the trench coat wearing angel behind you.

"Let's go!" You grasped his hand preparing yourself for what was about to come.
