Your Point of View
You could hear your little sister, Morgan, screaming in agony as you sliced into her. Your parents' lifeless bodies were downstairs. You remembered the surprised look on your mother's face when you plunged the blade through her gut. Morgan was begging you to stop, but you didn't. You killed her, just as two men came bursting into the room.
You must've blacked out because the next thing you knew one of the guys was pouring cold water on you. You turned and saw your sister's dead body laying on the floor in a puddle of blood. Then you saw the blood on your hands. You had killed your own sister. You started to hyperventilate.
"Hey, hey, it's okay. It's gonna be okay. I'm Sam, this is my brother Dean." He said, motioning to himself and the other guy.
You looked around at the massacre you had created. You couldn't stop staring at it. Dean noticed this and knelt down next to you.
"This wasn't your fault. You were possessed by a demon. We exorcised it from you." He said.
You began to remember every single moment of watching as the demon controlling your body tortured and murdered your entire family.
"Oh my god. I... I... I killed my family." You said as you started to cry.
You looked around room again, but suddenly everything around you turned to a shade of red that was identical to the color of blood. And that sadness and guilt you felt, turned into villainous gratification for the pain you had caused.
You wanted it to stop. But no matter what you did, the feeling just kept getting stronger and stronger.
The red shade on the scene slowly began to fade as you heard Dean yelling at you, practically screaming. "Y/N! Wake up! Y/N, wake up!"
You woke up in Dean's bed drenched in sweat.
"Y/N? Hey. It's okay. I'm here. I'm here." He said as he embraced you in a hug. "This is exactly what I was afraid of." You wiped your tears on his black tee.
Unbeknownst to you, you had been yelling and moving around restlessly in your sleep. You tried to calm yourself down by nuzzling your head into Dean's chest and shoulder.
"What happened?" He asked as he stroked your back in a comforting manner. You managed to stop your crying to tell him what had happened.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"That's not the worst part though..." You kept trying to say it but your eyes filled with tears as the words tried to pass through your lips.
You sat up and looked at Dean. "Something's wrong with me... Like really wrong with me. All that pain and resent I had for that whole night became..."
"You don't have to say it. It's okay. I know. I know." He said stroking your hair and squeezing you closer. "It's not your fault. It wasn't you. It's the Mark. It did the same thing to me. But you need to fight it, okay? Don't let that feeling corrupt you."
You got scared. Worried that you wouldn't be strong enough to control the power that was influencing you.
"What if I can't control it? What if... What if I go dark side?" Your voice was shaky and you saw Dean look at you with empathy.
"I won't let that happen. I promise. You won't go dark side. Not on my watch." You kissed him gently as a sign of appreciation for his comforting words.
Dean took you to the kitchen for a drink. you weren't surprised to see Sam and Cas already sitting in the booth. They both gave you a look of worry. Sam got up and came over to you and gave you a big bear hug. Being wrapped in the embrace of your best friend made you get emotional again. Your eyes began to water, but he wiped your tears away.
"Cas, isn't there anything you can do?" He asked hopeful eyes.
"There's nothing physically wrong with her for me to heal, Sam."
"Come on, Cas. Think... Maybe... Uh maybe... Maybe you could try to- oh I don't know." Dean said frustrated. "Is there really nothing you can do?"
"I might be able to stop the nightmares, but I can't promise that it will work." He responded.
"Do it." You said firmly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We were now all in Dean's room, and you were laying on the bed. Dean sat next to you holding your hand. Sam was standing behind him and Castiel was knelt down beside you.
"What exactly are you gonna do, Cas?" I asked nervously.
"I'm going to attempt to block the part of your brain that creates dreams. But I don't know what affect it'll have on you, because of the Mark. Are you sure you want to do this?" He asked.
"Not really, but just do it."
You felt Dean's hand squeeze tightly on yours as Cas laid two of his fingers on your forehead. You immediately became unconscious. You could vaguely hear what Sam, Dean, and Cas were saying outside the veil of your consciousness, but you were unable to make out the words.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next thing you knew, you woke up tied down in the dungeon.
"What the hell?" You said.
You looked around and didn't see anyone else. The dungeon door was still open. Maybe if you yelled it would catch their attention.
"DEAN?!... SAM?!... CAS?!... LITERALLY ANYONE?!..."
You looked down at yourself and noticed that your knuckles were bloody and your shirt had multiple rips in it. All you could think was 'Oh my god! Did I? No, there's no way I could've. This doesn't make any sense. What the fuck is going on? Did I hurt anyone? I didn't hurt Dean, did I?' Your mind kept going in a frantic state of panic.
"Y/N?!"
You could hear Dean's voice come from down the hallway. When he came in you saw his bruised face and his lip was split open.
You started to have a panic attack.
"Dean. Did I? Did-Di-Did I do that to you?! Dean? Answer me."
Cas walked in soon after Dean.
"Cas?" You said.
"Hello Y/N." He responded. He didn't look too beat up. There were a few rips in his trench coat, but nothing else.
"What happened?" You asked shakily.
"After you became unconscious, the Mark started to glow. I went to wake you up but you had already gained consciousness and well..." Cas didn't even have to finish for you to know what you had done.
"Where's Sam?" You asked.
Dean and Cas turned to looked at each other.
"Guys! Where's Sam?!"
