So, last night I stayed up late talking to Emily, she told me how much she really likes Matthew, so yeah I guess I am happy for her. I mean I got a great guy in Tim, so I should just let her be happy.
Well well my phone went off this morning, I freaked out. It was Katie texting me, then she was leaving her house for me! So I jumped in the shower and grabbed my bag I luckily packed the day before.
It was beach time! But first it was three hour car ride. I tired to sleep but Katie’s phone kept buzzing I had no clue who was texting her at 5am or 6am in the morning. Obviously a crazy person.
When we got to the beach house her parents rented. I was so excited. It was very big,and it was just going to be the four of us.
“I wish my parents weren’t here we could have an awesome party in this house,” Katie said quietly to me as her parents went into the house.
“I need a break from parties,” I told her honestly.
“What, the one the other day was awesome.” she said looking at me like I was crazy.
“Oh yeah it was fun but I was thinking this trip could just be like laying out on the beach, you know, relaxing,” I said.
“Oh yeah I am totally going to work on my tan, you know you need to work on yours too,” she told me. I was on the pale side, I guess. “Come on, let’s pick our room, I call biggest!”
Once all our stuff was unpack, Katie immediately wanted to hit the beach to start working on our “tans.”
Before I put on my headphones to listen to my music I glanced around and notice there were a lot of cute guys. I think Katie knew how to pick a spot. I was about to comment on that fact but she was already laying back with her headphones with a look of don’t bother me until I am sufficiently brown.
We laid out for around two hours until I got bored and convinced Katie to go into the ocean.
“I am not going that far though, there could be sharks or something,” she said as we were walking towards the waves.
As I was walking, I felt a something hit me behind my knees in my legs, I immediately fell into the wet sand. I looked around for Katie as I recomposed myself, but she was gone.
“HEY,” I heard in the distance and I saw Katie. She must have ran off once I fell. I look next to me and there was frisbee in the sand by my feet. Ah the culprit. I picked it up and headed towards Katie who was with a group of three guys.
A cute blond greeted me first, “Hey sorry about that,” he said as he ran his hand through his blond hair.
I smiled at him, and replied, “No worries, I wasn’t really hurt, and I am a bit clumsy.”
“I was just telling them that after I yelled at them of course,” Katie said to me, and she had already tied herself to one of the other guys in the group. He had shaggy brown hair, blue eyes, and a killer smile. He towered over Katie’s petite frame, he must have been close to 6’4”.
“I’m Jeremy,” the blond said to me.
“Hi,” I said, forgetting my name, “Oh here’s your frisbee.”
“Where you guys staying?” Katie asked them boldly.
“Oh just right here on the beach.” the guy pointed to a beachfront house.
“Oh a beachfront, awesome. We are around here too, not a beachfront but a couple of blocks down.” she said.
“Cool, so we are having a party tonight, if you guys want to stop by?” Jeremy said to us.
“Oh yeah maybe, not sure what our plans are yet” Katie said looking at me and I knew she was playing it cool and couldn’t wait to go to their party.
“Well we should get going,” I said to Katie.
“Oh yeah, I think we are going to hit downtown this afternoon,” Katie said to make it sound like we were doing something cool.
“Awesome make sure you hit Jax’s for some food it’s awesome,” one of the guys said.
“Totally,” Katie said and we left.
“Are we really going downtown?” I asked her once we were out of earshot.
“I guess, what else is there to do, but oh my gosh party tonight, and with college boys.”
“How do you know they were college boys?”
“Um, they have a house by themselves, I am sure they could be rich spoiled high school students, but signs point to college guys.”
When we got back, Katie convinced her parents to go downtown where we walked around the boardwalk and had lunch. Katie couldn’t stop talking about the party whenever her parents were out of earshot. I momentarily wondered how Tim would feel about me going to a college party without him. Though I know if he got invited to a college party he wouldn’t even think twice about going without me.
“You think I should tell Tim about the party?” I asked Katie.
“Tim, no. Why?” she replied.
“He’s my boyfriend.” I said like it was obvious.
“Yeah but you guys aren’t married. You can go to a party and flirt with guys. You’re not going to do anything so it’s harmless.” she said and I have to say I agree with her.
When we got back I asked Katie if I could borrow her Ipad to go on Facebook. I scanned my friends list. Tim wasn’t online. I looked to see if my new friend John was on but he wasn’t.
Just as I was about to send him a message, he messaged me!!
John: Hey. How have you been? It’s been a while hasn’t it?
Kat: Yes it has..What have you been up to?
John: Oh… not much. Just hanging out with the best girl in the world :)
Kat: Oh really?
John: Yeah! She is purely AWESOME!!!
Kat: Sounds like you are having a good summer :)
John: Most definately!! Wbu?
Kat: It’s alright Nothing epic yet ;)
John: Yet? ;)
