"Who's Kathryn?" I turned around and found Sam behind me: a saddening face glaring at my computer screen. "Kathryn?" I began to say "She's....just a friend of mine." She shook her head in acknowledgement, alternating to a frustrated tone. "Okay."

"She is, I promise."

She shook her head, "I didn't say anything."

"You don't need to. I can clearly see it written on you."

"See what?"

"Sam." I finally had it. I didn't see why she doesn't believe me. I'm sure it looked bad but I was being completely honest. I couldn't do anything like that, not to Sam. "You know what I'm talking about." Her expression vanished, fear polluting within her. I got up out of my chair and progressed towards her. The tension between us got tighter and tighter with each step I took. "I'm sorry for exploding earlier. I really am. I just want you to trust what I'm saying." she started rubbing my arm and looked at me. "I do trust you, I honestly do but this 'Kathryn' girl is just making me think..."

She stopped rubbing my arm and started walking towards the door. "Sam," I began, 'Nothing is going on between me and Kathryn, I promise. I hardly even know her to be perfectly honest." She froze in her spot and glanced back at me with much confusion and sadness on her face. I drew a long sigh as I started to begin. "Yeah I know. Look the point is that I would never go against you. you shouldn't worry about Kathryn because she lives in a different state." She sniffled, "She does?"

"Yeah. So there shouldn't be anything to worry about."

She glanced away, still very confused, pacing back and forth debating rather if she should believe me or not. I watched as her expressions changed from confusion to fear, to joy, to anger, and back to confusion.
