3rd Person POV.

THE breeze billowing in his overgrown hair, Jungkook adjusted his fringe as he looked into the rear view mirror. He didn't know what he was doing but it felt nice nonetheless. He was out with someone after a long time and all he wanted was to have some fun. He looked from the corner of his eyes at the boy driving beside him.

Soon the light brown haired boy turned his head towards him. The light from outside the window of the driver's seat created a magical backdrop behind him.
His eyes creased into sweet lines as he smiled at Jungkook.
Jungkook on the other hand just stared at the boy, as if he wasn't being able to grasp what to do next.

Charlie was his name right?

It seemed overwhelming to Jungkook that someone, who knew so less about him was being so friendly with him. He was very sceptical. Jungkook had hard luck in life he was bound to be suspicious.
But what startled him was how easily Charlie had made himself comfortable with Jungkook. Jungkook could now believe that, a person like him can be likeable too.

And soon in no time Jungkook was smiling too.

It was so peaceful and comfortable as Jungkook leaned back lazily in his seat not caring to put on a seatbelt.
He hated putting them on.
And Jungkook knew, he just knew that, the boy beside him wouldn't judge him for that.

Charlie started talking about the places they could go to.
Then he started playing music on his stereo just because he felt like it.
And Jungkook was slowly warming up to him.

It was his favourite IU song, "Through the Night. "

The chill in the weather was too much but Jungkook just didn't care. He was humming sweetly as the song went to the final verse.

As Jungkook looked to his right he found Charlie smiling at him, the same warm smile.

"Oi! idiot keep your eyes on the road!"

Jungkook shook his head when he realised Charlie was laughing at him.

"You are the biggest fanboy of IU I've ever seen. "

"Oh boy I love her to bits. "

Charlie hummed in return as he played the next song.

Jungkook looked out of the window and saw many small children playing football and laughter filled up the entire atmosphere.

He smiled and called out to Charlie,

"Hey Charlie? "

"Yeah? "

"Thanks. "

Charlie stopped the car and looked at Jungkook fully now, " Thanks? What for? "

Jungkook smiled sheepishly as he said, "For spending time with me.. for being my friend."

After what Jungkook just said, Charlie's expression faltered and he couldn't say anything.
But he quickly covered it up with a small smile.

Jungkook noticed that this time Charlie's smile didn't reach up to his eyes like always.

There was an awkward pause and Jungkook started fidgeting with the lock on the car door.
