5. Capsize

3rd Person POV.

IT took Jimin a while to realise Taehyung was nowhere to be found. He had tried calling his cell multiple times but there was no answer. He decided to walk around to find his friend himself.

Taehyung liked quiet places at times, so Jimin decided to go visit the indoor pool maybe he'd find him there. As the loud music receded in the background the short boy heard some muffling sounds coming from the indoor pool area.

His cautious steps soon turned into quick urgent ones, he knew something was wrong. When he finally made his way to the source of the sound, he couldn't believe his eyes. Someone was drowning unnoticed by everyone. Without thinking the worried brunette dived into the water. Somehow he managed to pull the person back up to the surface. And when he saw the familiar face he was looking for all this while, his throat went dry.

Shit.
He wasn't breathing.

"Tae! "
Jimin's hands were trembling now. He shook the unconscious boy vigorously. His small hands put pressure on Taehyung's chest, he also started giving him CPR to fill his lungs with air. Nothing seemed to work but wasn't one to give up easily. After several more tries, Taehyung's body finally jerked upwards as he coughed out a lot of water.
The poor boy was soaking and shivering from fear. He was finding it difficult to breathe, as he clutched onto Jimin's arm. The short boy immediately unzipped the tight swimsuit from around Taehyung's neck and rubbed circles on his back. As the thin boy calmed down gradually he looked up at his best friend.

But Jimin couldn't bear to look at him, he couldn't bear to see the pain and fear in his best friend's eyes. Seeing Taehyung in this state was too painful for him.
Taehyung saw the look on Jimin's face, he was so grateful to have Jimin. And in seconds, the shivering boy started crying as he hugged Jimin.

Taehyung may be strong and jolly but he also got emotional easily. He didn't stop sobbing. "I'm s-sorry.."

"Shhh it's not your fault idiot, I would save you anyway."

Jimin hugged his best friend and rocked him back and forth to calm his shivering self.

"Jiminie... "

Taehyung's voice was so small it made Jimin feel like shit for not being there to protect him.
But then he noticed that Taehyung's voice was a bit slurry. He couldn't form his words properly. When the shivering boy was starting to doze off on Jimin's lap, the short boy tried his best to carry him up from the cold floor.
