The Return

Tamara randomly fluttered her eyes open at 5 am to see a silver mask reflecting the light of the early morning sun.  She shot up from the comfortable position in Calls arms and elbowed his chest.  He immediately got up and put a consoling arm around Tamara which became protective when he followed her gaze to the man he promised to kill the next time he saw him.  He looked at the mask, right in the eyes of where his face was destined to be until he made his side clear in the war nearly a year ago.

"Leave her out of this, this is between us," Call confidently stated.  But he had butterflies for Tamara's sake. Alex wickedly chuckled,

"Oh Callum, I told you what I was going to do and I never lie, but I can postpone her death until after I kill you."  Call was breathing heavy, trying to control himself when he mumbled,

"Tamara, go to your parents' room,"

"Call, I can hold my own," she sternly, said slightly offended, he made his voice slow, calm, and intense, never keeping his eyes off The Enemy,

"Tamara... please leave." So she did but little did he know, she didn't go to her parents' room but stayed right outside the door because she knew if she left and anything happened to him, she would have never forgiven herself.  She kept her ear to the door as she heard the fight escalate, grunts of effort, things breaking, and outbursts stating they'd end each other.  And when Tamara peeped to see Alex slowly walking towards Call with a devilish grin after using air magic to push him against a wall causing Call to slump onto the floor; adrenaline and anger drew Tamara to unconsciously run at Alex full speed and tackle him. Alex immediately flew her right next to Call where she horrifically got a good look at him, he was bleeding on almost every limb of his body and the only thing that looked okay was his lips when they muttered,

"Run," But never being good at listening, Tamara performed a kip up before using all the magic she could on Alex Strike, fire, water, air, but he dodged all of her attacks.  So when Call stood up and Tamara saw Alex creating a big force of air magic to push on Call that would easily if not kill, concuss him, she felt major deja vu as she tackled Call onto the ground, staying on top of him.  The air magic bounced off the wall and hit Alex hard, giving Call a perfect chance to for once in the whole fight, be the one with an advantage considering Alex was on the floor.  He gently pushed Tamara to the side and used the last of his energy to create chaos, the one attack Tamara couldn't produce and consumed the silver mask for once and for all, and when he finally did all of their parents came rushing into the room.

Over the next hour, the parents tended to their children as they explained the whole story minus the part where they were sleeping together which became a norm to them, but something they thought the Rajavi parents would never accept.  When everyone was healed and the parents were yelling at the security guards for not doing their jobs, Tamara and Call decided to sleep in the last guest room that wasn't occupied or ever in contact with Alex these past couple of days.  Tamara sat next to him, leaning on the headboard of the king sized bed, thinking thoroughly and choosing her words carefully as she asked,

"Why did you make me leave?" Call paused.

"Tamara if anything happened to you because of that whole situation... I'd never forgiven myself," Tamara responded impulsively,

"But what about me? Did you care to think what I would have felt if I were hiding like a child while you could have been murdered by the most dangerous FoN alive?"   He turned to her and said an apology, knowing better than to escalate an argument with Tamara Rajavi, mostly regarding emotions.  She sighed and inevitably forgave him considering he could have claimed he accidentally killed Havoc and she would forgive him.  She made herself comfortable in the familiar position lying under his chin,

"But that's not entirely true," he thoughtfully continued,

"What do you mean?" she quietly said, looking up and locking eyes with him,

"You. You're the most dangerous FoN alive." she blushed,

"Only when I'm fighting beside you," she insisted with a warm smile, planting a small, sweet kiss on his nose before smiling again and placing her head back into its familiar position. After 5 minutes of silence, he whispered in her ear, realizing it was a bit shy of 7 am,

"What can I do to help you sleep," he began running his hand over her back. She smiled at the thought,

"Take me back to the waves." So he did, describing with even better imagery their new mutual happy place, before he whispered, just like he did a few hours ago,

"Underneath the palm trees, you can leave your worries, listen to the waves, leave all of your thoughts behind, breathe me in like air tonight, listen to the waves, I can be your fantasy..."
