What Really Happened with Scott (Nico's POV)

Here's what actually happened with Scott:

I woke up this morning and the first thing my eyes found was a piece of paper. I slowly got out of my bed and made my way over to my desk where the parchment was. I started reading it and my eyes widened in disbelief:

Nico,

Be careful kid. I'd hate to clean your closet for you...

No signature. Great. Someone knew about Percy; it could be anyone at camp! What really got me scared was what was attached to the note. A DVD. I grabbed it and put it in my laptop.

The screen was black but I heard voices. "Well, what is it you're afraid of saying?"

That was Piper's voice. Was this...?

" I like Percy," I heard myself say. Oh my gods. Someone was there when I told Piper! How could I walk around Camp Half Blood knowing someone knows what NO ONE can know?

I needed a dstraction. Checking the temperature, I saw it was 82 degrees (hot for 9 am), so I put on swim trunks and headed for the river.

When I got there, I asked a girl from the Hermes cabin if I could swim. Scott came out and picked me up by the back of my shirt.

He lifted me past people who were starting to stare. Even though I kept kicking my feet in the air, Scott held on to me.

Eventually, we reached the Poseidon cabin (wow). He pushed me up against the wall and said, "If you ever come near me or the rest of my cabin mates and ask us to swim with us ever again, I will do anything and everything to make sure everyone at camp finds out who you really are."

My mind wandered back to the DVD. Instead of asking, I fought back. "Oh yeah? What am I really?"

Scott pulled me close and whispered the words that concluded the mystery. "I know you're different, Nico. Who's the special boy? Is it Percy?"

My eyes widened but then I smirked, trying to throw him off of his game. Then I said, "Okay, first off, you have no proof. Second, of all, why would I have a crush on a BOY? Isn't the thought of anything like that stupid?"

Scott lowered his voice. "Don't play dumb with me. I have-

Then the water hit us. Percy came out into the sunlight with a livid expression drawn all over his face. Scott quickly left and Percy stood across from me.

"Thanks," I told him to hopefuly break the silence.

"He shouldn't have done that," Percy replied.

"Wait, how long were you here?"

"Pretty much the whole time. Oh yeah, and are you one of them too? Are you a homophobe?"

"No! I said that so he would leave me alone."

"Well it didn't sound like that."

"Percy-

He walked away. How could he not have believed me? That was a GREAT way to start the day, wasn't it?

On the verge of tears, I headed to the dining hall to once again fill my emptiness.
