Summary: after six years of being away, you finally return to Kattegat. That is when you capture the attention all the sons of Ragnar. However, your focus is set on the youngest, Ivar the Boneless, your childhood friend.

__________

You had not seen the sons of Ragnar in years. Your palms sweated as you got closer to Kattegat. The familiar atmosphere drowned you. Once, a long time ago, you played with them all. The oldest, Ubbe, never could treat you any worse or better than a acquaintance. You could say you weren't the prettiest girl in Kattegat. You were wild, you never listened to your mother let alone your father. Hvitserk, like his brother Sigurd paid no attention to you. When you did come face to face however, they treated you like thin air. As if you barely existed. But, you couldn't say the same for the youngest, Ivar. Both being outcasts, And unwanted you bonded. He did not care for your unattractive features (even if only young), it didn't matter that you always smelt like fish because of your father or that you had a quite loud personality. Together, you just fit. With your ignorance, you didn't understand when Ivar confronted you with the full force of his temper. You took it as a mindless joke. Eventually, you did grow on the boy. But, by the time you were ten summers old, you were shipped off. Your mother desired that you act like a perfect princess, the one she saw you as. So, for the last six summers, you focused on being a lady. Straight posture, perfect skin, silent footfalls, delicate features, perfect everything in general. And finally, you had obtained that. It was not to appease your mother but to come home, to see Ivar and his brother's again.

As the boat ceased rocking, you knew you were back. And when you stepped off, assisted by the woman that tutored you, you couldn't help but allow your old roots to sink in. Unbeknownst to your mother and father, who waited at the end of the dock, you searched for the famous princes. However, they were not there. They didn't even know you were back. They had slowly forgotten you over time. Ivar had faint memory of you, he did not entirely forget but he did not hold you close to consciousness. And while you were greeting your intimate family, the brothers were training.

Eventually, after becoming familiar with Kattegat once again. You asked around for where the princes were. Thus, led you to the woods, where you silently watched them from the shadows. Your (H/C) hair flowed with the subtle wind as your (E/C) orbs scanned the clearing. Swords met with swords. A deers head remained tied to a post, where they would practice their archery. You did think of scaring them, jumping out to cause a huge entrance. However, that did not prove a good plan when you imagined an axe to the head, the one sitting in Sigurd's hand you suspected.

After a few moments of watching them, sparring, oblivious to being watched. Finally, you decided to walk into the sun lit plain.
When you did so, then did Ubbe notice you. And he stopped. His eyes slowly dragged themselves across your frame, the one hidden beneath your dress as he held his bow, ready to shoot.
