We walked the path inside the forest for several hours. Without our dragons or even a horse, it really drained my energy. Jeez, I feel like we walked from Manhattan to Brooklyn. Well, that’s a little bit exaggerated, I know. But really, it’s a long and tiring walk. It became even harder because of the uneven level of the ground, and some rocks and stones along the way. Every now and then, I’m hearing some faint twitch around, like someone or something is following us.

The sun was already high in the sky when we had a bland vision of the guild. Outside the front gates, two Ravens were guarding. They were both armed with two swords that were hanging on the strap on their waist. They wore black armor, unlike those Ravens we met before, who were wearing a maroon one. Aside from the two Ravens, several dozen minions were patrolling the perimeter of the guild.

“They’re already here.” Lea muttered in a low voice.

“What do we do now?” I asked her.

“Let’s try to peek inside.”

We stayed inside the woods where no one can see us. We walked silently and carefully towards the east side of the guild where there was a small window-like hole used by the hunters. I took a peek inside and saw Uzina talking in front of a goblin, who probably was Zemorg, a Raven wearing a black and red armor, and sadly, Ezra. I cannot hear what Uzina was telling them but I read her lips when she said ‘follow me’ and they headed to the guild master’s tent.

“They are heading to the tent of Augustus.” I muttered.

“Why?” Lea knit his eyebrows.

“I don’t know.” I answered. “Do you know any ways of getting inside without being noticed?”

We turned silent for a moment when Elethor spoke. “I know.” He said.

We went at the back of the guild where our war game was held. The litters of the past war game were still there, the broken arrows, the dented shields, broken spears, and the bent swords. The fort was still the same, ruined, as usual.

The back side of the guild was a high stone wall. It was hard to climb up because you have nothing to hold on to. Even the world’s greatest thief could not climb up this wall. Well maybe if you’re the one from Mission Impossible, you have a chance.

Elethor bent down and dug on the ground.

“Elethor, what in the name of the gods are you doing?” Lea asked.

“I made a secret way here before.” Elethor answered while still digging. “I used this when I went outside in the middle of the night.”

“Elethor, that’s against the guild’s rules!” Lea reminded.

“I know! But look, the excavation I made helps us now, isn’t it?” Elethor went inside the excavation. “So if you want to save Augustus, come in!”

“Alright alright!” Lea bellowed and followed Elethor.

We successfully made it inside the guild without being noticed. The tent of Augustus was just several feet on our right. The light inside was lit, and we can see the silhouette of Uzina, Zemorg, Ezra, and the Raven standing inside, discussing something on the table. We went silently near it and heard them talking.

“Tonight will be the night.” Uzina said. “I shall summon the draconians and I will conquer the whole Normaar!” She laughed wickedly that made me feel I wanted to hit her with the hilt of Stormblade.

“My Lord, what will the Ravens do?” We cannot see who spoke, but based from his voice, it wasn’t Uzina, or even Zemorg. It was probably the Raven.
