Chapter 7- We can't get out

No one's POV

 

The four of them ran into the chaos of people. "We have to get out of the gate and flee! There are too many of them!" Seto exclaimed. "We Can't! Someone closed the gate!" 

"W-What?" Sky gaped. "We need to get the gate keeper to open it then!" Seto persisted irritably. There was usually a little house besides the gate, on the inside and the outside, to let in people, or let them out. The gatekeeper was old and sometimes clueless. Ty ran up to the gate and grasped the metal bars, looking through them out to the valley. He tried to concentrate through the screams of the people behind him. Ty saw the gatekeeper out in the open, and knew the keys were in his jeans, where they always were. "Hey!" Ty waved his hand through the bars. He paid no attention. His posture was slouched, he looked aimless, and his clothes were ripped, and he saw the obsidian on his bare feet. "H-he's.."

"Shit.." Sky muttered, and pounded his fist on the bars. "We can't get out.." Jason said helplessly.

"We can't get out" Ty agreed.

They faced reality finally, and went back to help the others. Most had evacuated the main gate entrance, but the Obsidian infected people were still attacking. "We need to get to the main building, other's will be waiting there." Sky ran off in that direction, and the others followed him.

Jason's POV

I followed behind Ty, Sky, and Seto, and we reached the main building, where the door was being banged by the obsidian people. Ty and Sky got out their swords and attacked them while I stayed back to protect Seto, who just stared ahead calmly. How can he be so calm!

Sky knocked on the door and told them that it was the general. They opened it immediately and we all ran inside. Surprisingly, there weren't as many people in the main building. Some were standing and crying to each other, while others sat on the ground with their head in their hands.

Aria's POV (WOAH HEYYYY)

Grayson, Aria, and Erika were standing in the lunch line. Erika and Aria were chatting up a heck of a storm while Grayson stood behind them, completely expressionless and had his tray out in front of him. His glasses reflected the light from the ceiling, concealing his eyes.

"Fight Fight Fight!" We looked over and saw two students, standing in front of each other, yelling non audible things from this far. Aria sighed and turned back to the line while Erika kept watching. "Let's check it out!" Erika said excitedly. "Check it out? They're just a couple of fools. They need to learn how to behave" Aria brushed some hair out of her face, and looked ahead of the line. "Come onn! It might be fun!" Aria was pretty bored, and she honestly wasn't as hungry as she hoped. She sighed, "Fine."

Then the shrilling sound of a bell echoed throughout the dining hall. The emergency bell. "Was that... the emergency bell?" Erika sounded surprised. "Uh, yeah.. Weird."

"Maybe it's a squid invasion!" she said, her dark purple eyes shining. She would take any opportunity to get into a fight, since she is in the majors squad, fighting against mobs and such. Aria rolled her eyes, "Probably."

Then a man ran into the room, as if in a panic. "Everyone in the Main Building! Hurry!" his voice was pitched and afraid. It was urgent. "Let's go" Greyson said, and they all ran to get through the crowd of people that were also trying to get out and into the main building.
