Broken {Trafalgar Law X Reader} AU

My Boys

"Y-Yes that's me!" You stutter as you try to swallow the lump rising in your throat.

"There's been an accident at New World College in Raftel. You were listed as the next of kin on Killers emergency contact information."

Your eyes widden and your heart beats so fast and loud that it's ringing in your ears.

"What happened to my brother?" You muster out.

"I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but there was an explosion in the lab he was working in. He's got some pretty bad burns on his face and some  shrapnel cut up his left arm pretty bad."

You collapsed in the doorway as your tablet starts to sound, signaling you that there's a call. You can't move, your not even crying. Your body starts to shake as your thoughts begin to race.

You hear a car slam on its breaks and a door slam shut.

"(Y/n)-ya... I'm here baby"

You haven't processed yet what the cops told you to even notice Law is standing in front of you.

"It's okay I'm her fiance." Law tells the cops. "I'll take her from here. Thank you very much."

The cops nod and return to their car, and drive away.

Law crouched down to your level, and grabs your face with both hands, and places a hard kiss on your lips.

You jolt back to reality at the sudden contact and imminently start to sob when your (e/c) eyes meet Laws gray ones.

"Law... I-I... I don't...

"It's okay (y/n)-ya, don't try to talk."

Law picks you up and puts you in the passenger seat of his car. He runs in the house collecting your purse, phone and keys. He writes Lisa a brief note so she knows your okay.

He turns off most of the lights and locks the door. He hops into the drivers seat, and puts your purse on the floor in front of you. Law faces you and tips your chin.

"I swear that he's going to be okay!" Laws face was so serious that you nod and reach out and pull him into your embrace. "I was at the school two labs down when the explosion happened, and I got to him first. He looks way worse then he his, so don't freak out when you see him."

You nod your head again and your tears soak Laws shirt. "I trust you Law. I just found my brothers again, and I can't lose either of them."

He rubs your back till you pull away amd buckel your seatbelt. You wipe your eyes. "Take me to my brother!"

"There's my girl" Law smirks and puts the car in gear.

What should have taken you 2 hours, was cut by 30 minutes. Law wanted to get you there as soon as he could. He could feel your anxiety raising with every passing minute as you headed to the hospital in Raftel.

As you pulled into Grand Line Memorial Hospital your eyes started to water again, but you fought back the tears. You had to try and be strong, but for you that's eaiser said then done.

Law quickly found a parking spot and took you by the hand, leading you into the very large building. Being a medical student Law spent some time here, so he knew his way around some what

Law walks up to the receptionists behind the counter and asks what room Killer was in.

"Lets see." She eyes the screen and flicks her gaze at Law a few times. "He's in room 3188."

"Thank you"

Law turns to you. The look in your eyes breaks his heart. He hasn't seen you like this since Greg attacked you, and it scared the hell out of him.
